i second this. a friend of mine has been edging into trooning out and it coincides with learning about some fucked up things about his father. additionally, his OCD leads him to believe that if he doesnt engage in certain behaviors or rituals, he will become a sex criminal, despite being sex repulsed and a textbook case for intrusive thoughts. he seems firmly stuck in the madonna end of the madonna/whore dichotomy, and seems to see transition as an escape hatch in to the pure and morally uncomplicated life of a woman. sexism with a different face.
i dont exactly sympathize anymore, his resistance to seeking therapy for his OCD and trauma because of his parents' vocal disinterest in the field rang a lot more true when we were in highschool. now that hes closing in on 30, not so much. we all have to grow up sometime.

If someone were to hit me in the stomach, id likely go down. He definitely wouldn't. That slight beer belly will offer a layer of protection that flat washboard abs would not. People all around vest too much importance in "beauty". Beauty fades with time, and it very rarely reflects what the person is inside. I'm the perfect example of that- I'm a monster. If I happen to make an honest comment of something on my mind, everyone smiles and thinks it's cute coming from someone that looks like i do. I'll forever embrace and be thankful for that though, its the perfect mask that no one can seem to see through. So foolish. After all, lucifer was the most beautiful angel in heaven. Beauty can be the best lie the world can tell. I guess I got extremely lucky considering what I know i actually am. Jeremy is the perfect mirror to me, although he may be a bit more kind. Honestly it's better for these things to stay unknown lest the random hateful moids write a list of 100 reasons why abuse is fine and it was all your fault, akctually.
