I think the reason there hasn't been a societal-level peaking yet is that the gender ideology is multifaceted and confusing.

The Transsexual Empire by Janice Raymond is oft-cited and if you want the more 'scientific' perspective Michael Bailey did a lot of the OG writings on the HSTS/AGP categorization, GAMPs, etc. that will help you understand (male) troon psychology. This might be an unpopular view because it's not a feminist source but if you want to understand the origins of trans ideology a lot of James Lindsay's podcasts (basically him monologuing and reading huge excerpts of vintage critical theory papers) are extremely informative, if dry. He definitely tracks down the receipts with unmatched autism.
For more modern/news-based/current events type reading there is Reduxx and Feminist Current, and there are also more contemporary GC thinkers who write more philosophical GC articles from the contemporary POV like Julie Bindel, Kathleen Stock, etc. although some people think they're kind of lolcows. Arguably any really devoted radfem thinker will have some cow-ish tendencies because it takes a certain kind of autism to be so devoted to such an unpopular cause but I find a lot of what they say pretty interesting and helpful and it's not as long/involved as like a Dworkin book. Magdalene Berns videos are up on youtube and other video hosting sites still and those are quick but cutting, there's also the Skirt Go Spinny oddyssee channel and the Genspect youtube channel that have longer videos touching on various aspects of the gendie craze. I will probably get dragged for this but for some levity the Matt Walsh what is a woman documentary is actually really funny imo, I know he's a conservative but he doesn't say much in the movie and it's mostly just him letting gender theorists skewer themselves on camera. Also Ophelia Benson used to write some good articles from the biological perspective, not sure if she's still actively doing that though. It kind of depends what kind of sources you specifically want because the old radfem sources like Dworkin and MacKinnon are not really explicitly focused on troons or modern gender ideology, they're just more focused on radfem/second wave feminist thought whereas some other sources will be almost completely focused on troons but maybe not as feminist in perspective etc.
