I feel like this thread has been made before but here goes…

I've been lurking for a bit and noticed quite a few people shop from Taobao, I've bought clothes from Chinese resellers on eBay and have always been disappointed. I'm planning on getting a few basic things from Taobao like face masks and wooden beads to make jewellery but I'd also want to get a few basic things like sweaters as well. Is there a strategy to getting things that don't completely suck or should I just skip?

My frame is pretty small overall so I'm not too worried about not being able to fit stuff (as far as tops go), I'm just worried about how the cut of it will look on my bod overall since I got pretty thick legs and wide hips and i'm worried it might look weird on me.

Yeah I mostly order standard shirts and underwear from Chinese retailers since you can't in all seriousness expect a $4 wooly jacket to be exactly like in the stolen photo. It's better to stick with the clothes that aren't very hard to fuck up.

I played this game for years and eventually I realized it just wasn't worth it. I never got a single thing that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED because nothing looked like the photo, or if it did, the fabric was weird. Accessories are usually OK.

How do you find people after they've vanished off the face of the net?
I'm searching for someone who was run off deviantart five years ago, but all I've discovered so far is an abandoned Twitter account, a picture of the person from like 2010/2011, two dead tumblr accounts, one more tumblr that hasn't been updated since 2012 and a Webs site that was frozen. I think I'm out of luck, sadly.
Anyone else gone digging for people online? How successful have your attempts been?

I know at least a sweater from my bf and gift cards from my family. I can never figure out what to ask for beforehand and it's always after that I realize I need things (socks, sports bras, camera film, makeup, ect) and all presents have been bought. One year I will.
I always forget that secret santas are a thing as well, I really want to participate every year (I love giving gifts) but only remember them when I see others posting their gifts online.
