How much will power does it take for you to go about your day? I feel like I have incredibly low motivation but I also don't know what the standard is for other people/ if I'm just lazy. For example, waking up to go to work takes a considerable amount of effort. Doing adult chores like scheduling an appointment or filing taxes takes a lot of emotional and mental calories. Getting myself to cook a healthy meal or actually go to the gym takes a profound amount of effort. I ask this because when I see highly productive people I wonder how many of them are up against the same amount of friction as I am but they're just stronger and can overcome it and how many of them just wake up motivated to take on the world. There are rare but very blessed days where I wake up and have a natural desire to go to the gym, pick up extra shifts, etc and it makes me wonder if some people are just operating with this as their default.
