Stuff it should have been good for like promoting your indie band's music all turned into a hotness/slick production competition and took emphasis away from content, placing it on visuals instead, which is not what it should have ever been used for imo but here we are.
I'd say the second thing I resent the most about Youtube is just the high level of censorship on it especially during the past 5-ish years. It purports to basically 'have everything' but all wrongthink and even swear words or 'grown up words' and themes are censored to hell and back which is also making it harder for people to access real information but they think they can access anything on youtube.

I feel like there could almost people a whole separate thread to talk about commentary YouTube and how stupid/pointless/bad/annoying it is etc. Half the time the people seem like they have serious comprehension problems and can't understand extremely basic elements of the things they're talking about and giving (albeit completely vapid most of the time) commentary on, and most of the videos end up being a total nothingburger. This example really is not that bad as far as commentary YouTube, it's also about a pretty trivial topic to begin with but it still is an instance of a video I watch and think "why did this person make a video to basically add nothing and misrepresent it at that".
This is a video by HeyItsThalia and it's about a war on TikTok that started over home bakers vs walmart cakes. Apparently people who have their own bakery businesses were mad at people for buying $5 heart shaped cakes at walmart and saying they should support small/local bakeries instead. Then people were like "some of us are broke and just want a cute cake, we can't afford your $100+ fancy bakery cake". Okay, that's fair, but then Thalia basically just straight up shits on home bakers and misrepresents a lot of the points they made. She reacts to a TikTok of a home baker that went viral, in which the home baker explicitly says she knows not every can afford/wants a fancy $180 cake and doesn't blame people for buying walmart cakes, but don't dunk on home bakers because baking a cake with quality ingredients is expensive and takes about 8 sticks of butter (pure butter is expensive af) and that's not to mention the skill, the tiktoker mentions how there are talented bakers working at walmart and are probably pretty underpaid and would make better money if they started their own business, the tiktoker also mentions how "a birthday cake is a luxury" which is the thing that most people got mad at. Thalia gets extremely triggered over this video and misrepresents entirely and just acts like this person was shaming people for buying cakes from walmart (she wasn't) and being like "people should be able to celebrate special moments without having to break the bank" which has literally nothing to do with what that tiktoker was saying AT ALL. Thalia shows a video of bakers at walmart to show how talented they are and they need a pay raise as if it's a checkmate even though THAT'S LITERALLY SOMETHING THAT TIKTOKER SAID.

They never want to acknowledge the fact that just because some people buy cheap things and can't afford more expensive services it doesn't mean that people putting labor in and charging for it are evil capitalists, they just want compensation for all the extra cost and work. The people making these videos (if their channels are popular, which many are) are often making huge amounts of money ragebaiting while criticizing poor small business owners barely breaking even for trying to find a small employment niche to survive in.

I'm an indie dev working on my own game so I asked you for some ideas, I'm thinking there really needs to be a mermaid world area. There's gonna be plenty of fashion and magic. It's still in early development. Concepts are made, but the game is being made with default assests and upgraded to art later. Plenty of time to slip in new stuff.
