>>1868813No chest pains, but my heart rate always goes up 10BPM and returns to normal after the bleeding stops. I get fatigued easily too.
Question:
My sister and I decided to move in together last summer to save on rent but she's gotten really annoying lately and I'm wondering if I'm being unreasonable….
I enjoy cooking and do meal preps to save money, eat healthy, etc. My sister is the opposite, she ALWAYS wants takeaways, always wants to eat something different, hates leftovers. She works from home and rarely ever cooks for herself, but always wants to eat whatever I've cooked. Today she saw me doing my meal prep and snapped at me because I didn't share any food with her. She apparently saw all the meat I thawed in the fridge and "anticipated" that I'd be making food for both of us. When I reminded her that she's literally home all day and even if she's working, she has the opportunity to make her own meals, she got angry and called me selfish. Am I really being mean here? Because I don't understand why she's flipping out.

Any women in here who graduated (or are still in college/university) Computer Science/Engineering ? Tell me how's the experience and in what country. I'm planning on getting a degree in that, since I'm a big computer geek. I also self study programming using books I bought from a library, they're really helpful and I love 'em. After that, I have in mind making quite a "pocket-sized" video game company, maybe made of 5-10 people, and making flash-newgrounds-type of games, nothing too complex at the beginning. So that takes me to question number 2, anybody has experience with working for a video game company and/or making/developing simple video games?(use the catalog, there is a thread for exactly this)

Nonnas should I be worried? For the last 2 months I have been getting sick every 10 days, some times even every week. I only had a fever twice, every other time it's just body aches, muscle pain, extreme fatigue, heaviness in my arms/legs, chills and a sore throat. I've had issues with my tonsils but they don't look inflamed. The lymph nodes in my neck have been swollen for months, or maybe that's the tonsils. I tested negative for covid, flu, rsv multiple times. I have issues with my thyroid (it's been underactive and overactive in the last 2 years) but I take medication for it every day and my labs are within normal ranges, aside from elevated calcium and pth. My endo isn't concerned though. My period is also very irregular but that's been going on ever since my thyroid started acting up. I also have gastro issues but I don't think it's related. I eat a normal, balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg. I take vitamin d and zinc. I tried magnesium and selenium too. I've never been sick like this in my life. It's seriously impacting my productivity and mental health. I feel crazy, my doctor isn't taking me seriously and only told me to take vitamin c.

How do you stop being scared of stupid things and/or fix your startle response? A squirrel got into my house in the middle of the night and I was so scared I screamed and ran away to get my dad. I don’t know why I’m like this, my dad kept screaming at me and calling me a moron for being scared of the squirrel who was running around our house at that point. I somewhat think it’s due to my very high startle response, like I sorta spaz out normally when someone taps me on the shoulder or when someone knocks on my door out of nowhere. And I’ve been like this since I was a toddler/child. How do you get past it? I’m tired of feeling like a retard and I have no idea what I’d do if I lived alone and had to deal with this myself. I couldn’t even look at the squirrel I was so terrified (I think because it’s a whole can of worms to accept that there are now squirrels in my house or at least an entry point for them to come in here that isn’t the attic).

At first I was in the group she was at because I embarrassingly used to be into shotacon when I was 20 years old. I joined to get manga recommendations because I didn't want to read porn so I talked to everyone there.
I don't remember exactly why, but we were talking about what we did irl so I made the huge mistake to say I was helping at some preschool because I moved to another place and the owner of the school liked me.
The woman, who was always trying to hit on the guys that were like 18 years old, and who actively ignored me suddenly texted me.
She asked me if I have ever done anything to the children and I was like "um no, woman what the fuck??" And she told me that by that time she was 40 years old, that she was a teacher at a small town school and that one of her students was "her boyfriend".
I proceeded to leave the group, blocked everyone, deleted my kik and stopped liking shotacon, now I despise it and feel disgust whenever I remember ever thinking that it was okay to read those types of stories.

The shower gels last forever, and the bubble bars last way longer than the bath bombs since you can cut the bubble bars up and spread them over several baths. I've gotten 6 baths out of the larger bubble bars and 2-4 baths out of the smaller ones. If you use them fresh it doesn't dilute the scent and you still get a shitload of bubbles but the color of the water won't be as vivid. The body lotions and massage bars are amazing and last a long time but you might need to keep them in the fridge if you live somewhere hot or they'll go bad. I used to love their shampoo bars but they changed the formula recently and they're shit for my hair now, but I've heard others rave about the new formula, so you might want to get a sample of that and see if it works for you. They're pricey but they really last a long time. I like some of their hair masks but again, get samples, they're too expensive to splurge on unless you know they're 100% worth the money. I have a couple of their body sprays and they're nice, but not necessarily worth the money. Don't buy the soap bars, they last about a week if you don't let them cure for like 4 months before using them, it's insane. Body scrubs are hit and miss.
Your best bet is to go to Lush and let them show you their products. They love doing demos and will gladly help you find something you like that's in your budget.

Do fat people crave sugar more? Like if you lose weight will sugar not taste as good for you? I’m to help someone quit sugar, and usually the way it goes is that everything starts to taste way too sweet and gross, but this person is fat and tried some picrel (after almost 1 month no sugar or fruit) as a test and thought it was amazing while to me it tasted like chemicals and sugar.
No. 1872064
>>1872017Yeah, fat people crave sugar more than those with balanced diets because the more you eat something, the more used you get to the flavor and the more you will want it to be stronger.
It's like eating spicy food, most normal people try it once and feel like it's too spicy, but after trying it again, and again, and again, it tastes delicious, the more they eat it, the less it will start tasting spicy, because they get used to it.
The issue is though, that being fat is also a mental thing, if that person doesn't internalize that sweets don't have to be 100% sugar, that person will always crave sweets and will never lower that tolerance to sweet stuff.
In the end it's a matter of cold turkey-ing the sweet intake and understanding that it's for their own good. That's what I did, and after a few years, around 5 years, I've begun to stop craving sugar as terribly as back then, and most sweet things now taste too sweet.
As long as that person gets support to keep going and actively wants to change their habits, everything will be alright.

>>1872017You get tolerant to sweet flavors, but it's also more complicated than that. One thing scientists have discovered recently, in very simple terms, is it turns out eating food with a lot of added sugar (and also ultra-processed food) alters your gut microbiome. The bacteria in our gut are a reflections of what food we tend to eat. If you eat a lot of added sugar you will have more bacteria that thrives on sugar, while other bacteria dies from starvation. Scientists now believe our gut microbiome can also influence our cravings. If you have lots of bacteria that love added sugar, you will start to crave added sugar more. We are mind-controlled by the bacteria in our gut lol. Scientists have done poop transplants from people who were a normal weight with a healthy gut microbiome, transplanted their poop into a fattie, and the fattie lost weight as a result. They ate less, but seems like it was because they now had a healthy microbiome that didn't crave junk food all the time. I think there are other ways to lose weight and fix your diet than having a poop transplant, but knowledge of our gut microbiome can be a helpful tool in understanding and combating obesity. There is a lot of more factoring into obesity of course, I think genetics and fasting are other interesting fields of study, but basically obesity while being simple in theory is not as straight forward as it seems.

I don’t know if this is the right thread to ask this, but is my boyfriend cheating or am I paranoid?
My boyfriend used to be very affectionate. He would call me every other day. When I sent photos of myself to him on Snapchat he’d save them in chat. Whenever I sent messages to him he’d respond to them quickly. Now he doesn’t do this anymore, and I can see that he’s active online but he takes a long time to respond to my messages (or sometimes doesn’t respond at all). He rarely ever says “I love you” first anymore. In the beginning of our relationship he’d send me long paragraphs declaring his love for me and constantly compliment me. He recently told me that he thinks he’s completely asexual even though he was anything but just a month ago.
There was an incident where a girl I didn’t know DM’ed me to say that my boyfriend was hitting on her boyfriend and that he was saying it was a joke but she wasn’t so sure. I believed him when he said he was joking. He is bisexual. He follows this one girl on Tik Tok who’s very attractive, and she also has multiple Twitter accounts which he all follows (some of which are private). He asked me if I was ok with him starting an Onlyfans account. He also started posting somewhat suggestive photos (for instance, a photo of his pants where his ass is turned to the camera and his shirt is lifted up slightly) even though he initially deleted all the suggestive photos on his account when we started dating.
I’m afraid that accusing him of cheating would do more harm than good. If I asked him about it and he genuinely wasn’t that would destroy his trust in me.

victims feel, and will often get delight from saying the right thing that makes them feel the worst. Not saying you’re an abuser or a psychopath, I just don’t think you’re “high affective empathy” just for being able to acknowledged someone’s feelings, it’s very different from actually feeling them yourself/actually empathizing.

>>1875341You probably just wanna be a mom. If you don't want to abort you should look into whatever government assistance you can, since you recently lost your job. Take prenatals and always go to your checkups. You have about 6 more weeks to decide if you want to proceed with the pregnancy, so you should do budgeting and think very realistically. >>1875374>>1875379>>1875400Ok well personally when I had one, which granted was later than 4 weeks, healing from the dismemberment/suction method of abortion is absolutely fucking brutal. Yes, I would absolutely compare it to recovering from giving birth, because your cervix and vaginal canal isn't somehow unaffected or untouched by the process of abortion. Maybe an abortion pill process is much gentler, but getting an abortion (depending on how late she chooses to make the decision) and recovering from it can 100% without a doubt just as bad as giving birth. Yeah, you obviously don't have a screaming infant to learn how to breastfeed, but that doesn't just withdraw the physical pain women suffer from after having an
invasive abortive service, just like I said in my post. I don't understand why everyone is angry with me and calling me a liar for making an accurate post…

Someone who lives in Maine vs Texas would have very different feelings about 30F. And someone who lives in Maine would have different feelings about 30F in the summer than in the winter. I really need advice. I am severely depressed and I have tried everything except regular therapy because I can't afford it (therapy where I live is insanely expensive and my insurance doesn't cover any of it). I hate living so much that I can't imagine making it past a couple more years at most, and tbh I am afraid I won't make it that long because once every month or so I get really close to putting my plans in place. My parents have finally realized how bad I am after I had a breakdown at work and admitted it to them, and they have offered to pay for therapy.
This might sound like an obvious solution but my parents don't have any money to spare because they are older and on a fixed income and already live very frugally to get by. My mom said she would go back to work to help me pay for it but the thought of my poor mother doing that makes me physically ill with guilt and I just can't accept it. It's extra horrible too because my brother is a complete fuck up who is still mooching off of them well into adulthood and makes their lives hell, I was supposed to be the one who had her shit together to ease their burden. I just can't bring myself to accept their offer, they already struggle so much.
But then I start thinking, wouldn't it be worse for them if I killed myself and didn't accept their help? But even still, I just CAN'T take their offer. It's unconscionable to me.
What should I do?

>>1876382So materials like cotton, linen, and wool are natural fabrics because you can get fibers from the source without chemical processing. Synthetic fabrics like polyesther and nylon are plastic/polymers, they don't have a natural source. Semi-synthetics like rayon and viscose are usually made from plant pulp, so they're from a natural source but are chemically processed to make fibers. I found this guide that explains the differences pretty well:

You have to be in like the highest earning of the highest earners to really get much, and contrary to popular belief that it's an easy lazy form of income, you'd have to work overtime to cultivate a large enough audience and brand image, then continue to be engaging enough that they don't get bored and leave. That's ignoring how degrading and draining and risky it all is, and the fact that you're left without much to go off of if you want to quit or you can't keep up the numbers anymore.

>>1876471You can't do much to change your physical features, but you can learn to work to make the best of what you have. Try dressing in colours that compliment your skin tone, style your hair in a way that compliments your face shape, develop your personal sense of style so that your wardrobe reflects the person you want to be. I think a lot of "being hot" is just feeling secure, confident, and happy in the way you present yourself. What society considers attractive will always ebb and change with time, but certain attributes like health, confidence, and kindness will always be attractive. On the note of kindness, reading about social etiquette and the art of conversation is something a lot of people overlook but remains a very important factor. Apparently Cleopatra wasn't very physically attractive, but her knowledge and conversation skills were so appealing that many powerful scrotes fell head over heels for her.

>>1876944>I think he is handsome objectively. You must be attracted to monkeys or primates then which is fucking nasty. I'll go through the 8 monkey identifiers that are most commonly discussed on Brad Pitt hate forums since obviously you want to be spoonfed. Look at the photo for a guide.
>1)His forehead/brain.His forehead is very small in comparison to the rest of his face, indicating a smaller cranium volume. Whereas most actors seem to get bigger heads as time moves forward, Brad's small cranium has always been noteworthy as its why his brain is so small and retarded. You can look up the allegations made against Brad by his former wife Angelina Jolie. One of the most agreed upon allegations is that he used to hit and punch his sons, just like how male monkeys attack their offspring.
>2) His retarded uneven monkey ears.Notice that Brad's ears are completely uneven, much like that of a monkey that has to move its ears around the jungle to hear any incoming predators. You can also clearly see a defined Darwin's tubercle, a vestigial birth defect some lesser-evolved humans exhibit which is clearly visible on monkeys.
>3) His brow ridge.Technically, Brad has a brow ridge more comparably to a neanderthal or an early modern human that is designed to keep the sweat from pooling in his deep-set eye craters. Why is this an indicator of his monkey-ness then? Well because it lets us know that Brad sweats a lot, most likely having a noxious and easily-detectable body odour much like what you'd encounter when you walk past the primate exhibit at your local zoo. Besides his low brow ridge, there's also too large a gap between his eyebrows (which almost extend towards his ears) that easily identify him with primates.
>4) His eyes.I don't need to explain this one. Look into his eyes in any photo, and you'll quickly realize that there is no soul inhabiting his body. Unlike real human beings that possess a soul and are given the chance at eternal life, when Brad dies, he will just be destroyed. Like any other animal he will turn into dirt and his body will be eaten by his monkey compatriots.
>5) His nostrils.Even after his nose job, Brad's nostrils are constantly flared outwards, as if reflexively. This is odd as most human beings have to consciously flare their nostrils, or do it subconsciously when performing heavy labour or exercise. For Brad, however, his nostrils are always flared out because just like a monkey he takes shallow, rapid breaths, unsure of when he will fall from a vine or a tree, he has to make each breath count.
>6) The space between his lips and noseIf I were to guess, I'd say this space is about an 3/4 of an inch too long to be considered passingly human. It's much more reminiscent of an orangutans morphology. This space has evolved to be larger for monkeys so that its easier for them to bear their teeth to rivals and showcase their aggressive tendencies.
>7) Tiny upper lip but massive lower lipBesides the obvious telltale sign of fetal alcohol syndrome (he has an underdeveloped cupid's bow and a lack of visible philtrum, something he tries to cover up with facial hair), his ugly lips are reminiscent of a chimp's usual facial demeanor of keeping the upper lip flexed and the lower lip pouted outwards. It's like he's permanently in the state of having half-eaten leaves or berries hanging out of his gross mouth because he can't fit them all down his gullet before the photoshoot.
>8) Overly large jaw.Monkeys evolved large, strong jaws for biting through tree bark and eating other monkeys that they view as a threat. Just like those same retarded chimps, Brad has a huge jaw that's wider than his forehead. It gives the appearance of a violent gorilla that's spent years attacking rivals in his gorilla social group for dominance.

You don't have to disclose that this is a new stalker, you can act as if you think it's one and the same person so they don't think you're just crazy and paranoid. Also make sure to say stuff like "I know I might just be a bit paranoid and maybe it's nothing, but with the stalker it's better to be safe than sorry".
Realistically if it IS tagged, he shouldn't have had access to the inside right? So it should be reachable from the outside. He may have opened the hood up and put it there, or under the car.
Stop going to ANY of your regular stores/places. Find an alternative for each and every one, like start going to the grocery store further away instead of the closest one. If you guys live in the same area, both of you shopping at the closest places is natural. Same if you both happen to realize you need a new ice scraper for the car the week it started snowing, sometimes that happens. However if he suddenly starts turning up when you start going to other places you can be sure something is up.

What I think has to do with it is control. A human needs community in environments that are unfamiliar. If the environment is familiar, you have the upper hand, which is better at helping you survive rather than relying on someone else.
>A lonely human wouldn't have high chances of surviving without their family/communityExactly. But as you said,
community. The trusted people one has. If you don't have trusted people, then it's better being alone than not being alone. Because other people aren't always community, sometimes it can be a threat.

It's really easy once you know a few basics to not rely on ordering food as much. You really don't have to spend 45-80 minutes in the kitchen to make food anymore.

The doppelganer of Joseph started the myth of the Capgras delusion to punish people for becoming aware of counter earth and their program of replacing real earth inhabitants with doppelgangers. >Why do abusive parents choose a scapegoat?https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/tech-support/202104/how-toxic-families-choose-a-child-to-scapegoat
Scapegoating allows a parent to think of the family as healthier than it is; if it weren’t for that one individual—yes, the scapegoat—the family would be perfect, and life would be blissful.
Scapegoating lets a parent minimize responsibility and explain negative events, enhancing a sense of control by blaming everything that happens on the scapegoated child.
There is also a section in this article about how the author thinks the scapegoat gets chosen. According to it, different parents pick different types of kids to scapegoat and she goes into that. Maybe you will see your family there.
There is this website:
https://www.scapegoatrecovery.com/. The resources there might help you deal with the abuse done to by your family. You didn't deserve what happened to you. I hope you can heal and stop caring about why the did what they did because they don't deserve any space inside your head.

I have a question for nonnies familiar with Middle Eastern/Muslim majority countries- do girls just lie about having past boyfriends? It seems that guys will be upfront about having some experience prior to marriage but girls never seem to admit anything. I’m honestly just curious because the math doesn’t work out for me- I have to conclude that girls just reset their boyfriend count to 0. Is this the case?
No. 1883125
>>1883108no tbh even my hijabi mom is upfront about having had boyfriends in the past but to be fair i'm from morocco which is probably the most "open" muslim country imo. being boyfriend and girlfriend usually ends up in engagement anyway because girls get married fast.
actually maybe i shouldn't be answering this because i'm a sheltered recluse kek but i know hijabi girls who were players and had lots of boyfriends before but here it just means you called yourself boyfriend and girlfriend and went on dates with that person only (usually with hopes of engagement and marriage but not necessarily). ofc after marriage it's highly frowned upon/borderline forbidden for the woman to bring up past relationships out of "modesty" though but i wouldn't call that lying really. but older women will still brag about her past suitors etc… but mostly i think it depends on the country

Does anyone have experience or advice about using Respondus? I have to use it for an exam next week and I keep seeing horror stories about it locking up peoples computers even after they're done with it, among other concerning things like privacy issues. I'm also ADHD and really finnicky (especially when I'm nervous, and my grades are extremely important to me, so of course I will be) and my professor already gave us a heads-up about how "if we need to look around to think, look up and it wont flag you," which doesn't bode well because it's not something I can guarantee I can control. I've also been told that noises in the background will set it off, but I take care of my autistic brother who has echolalia from when he wakes up to when he goes to bed and gets upset when he isn't allowed to engage in it, and two cats who occasionally whine at me or roughhouse and might frequently require me to leave my seat, so I'm considering just taking it in my car at this point.
I'm not asking how to cheat, just for any precautions I can take to make sure it doesn't hurt my computer, and/or any advice about what it does or doesn't flag so I know how much I have to keep myself in check. Even stuff like the "chapstick to obscure the webcam" trick I've read is welcome. If I don't feel like I have at least some safeguard, I'm the type that will be scared to breathe just so I can safely deny I did anything wrong in the situation that I do set something off.
Venting on the side: I hate having to deal with this at all and wish I at least had the OPTION to take the exam physically on campus.

What's with artistic/ creative women (illustrators, musicians, graphic designers, some MUAs, anyone barely alt, etc) being overrepresented in the queer "community"? What's about the "gay" tag that attracts their attention so much? Everytime I check a random artists profile they have a laundry list of terms or the obligatory "they/them" pronouns in bio. What makes creative women in particular so easily persuaded by this stuff?
No. 1883743
>>1883733Most creative people are insecure as fuck, add being a woman to the mix and you for a mess, because being a woman into arts and crafts means you must be perfect in every single way. Adding qwerty shit to your profile means you're allowed to do whatever you want with your art, and gives you a sense of community that doesn't seem to exist in other creative spaces as far as I've noticed.
>inb4 what about this or that or this particular special group I'm at with 4 womenThose spaces may exist but they're not public and of easy access as your average art discord or art group on Instagram ir even worse, Twitter.
Plus another perk of qwerty tags is the exposure you get, if you tag something with just "sketch, art, colors, insert brand" no one will give a fuck, but if you add the super special pride hashtag that's rainbow colored, more people will pay attention to it because being gay means you're being oppressed, it will always mean that because gay people are oppressed, specially to the normies that barely lurk the internet and probably have only talked to one gay person in their whole 20 something years alive.
Then you add tranny shit and according to most news outlets, they're getting homicided and hate crime'd every second, so they get at least a pity like, a pity follow or a "I guess I will follow this retard so people think I'm inclusive" follow.
T.Used to think that way.

>>1883733It's simple. The more "marginalized" you are in left spaces the more you can get away with being an asshole. It's like in right spaces the less marginalized you are the more you can be an asshole, but taken the opposite trajectory. That's because they think that people who are less privileged in life deserve to have more lenient rules applies to them, since bad things happened to them. In leftism, suffering is something that is seen as a badge to show off.
Straight, male, white, thin, attractive, not mentally and physically ill = not marginalized.
Lgbt, person of gender,
poc, fat, ugly, disabled = marginalized.
Right wing and left wing in this I mean progressive and regressive, they act as opposites to each other. So everything one is, the other isn't.
Also you can't, as a rule, talk about a topic unless the group you're in personally experienced it. You MUST belong to a category (white or
poc, straight or gay, cis or trans etc) even if they claim labels are unimportant. You can't "appropriate" suffering that happened to another group, otherwise you'll receive backlash. So if you want to speak about an experience or just lecture someone else because you feel like it, you have pretend to be some sexuality you aren't in order to speak up about your problems otherwise you gotta stfu. That way you'll be seen as an authority on that subject.

how do i get it through my family's head that they put their cat in danger by letting their huge dog play with her? the dog is ~kind~ but he is gigantic and roughhouses with the cat all the time, grabbing her neck and whatnot. the dog adores the cat, but i'm sure that his instinct will kick in at some point and he'll accidentally kill her. i've pointed this out to them numerous times but they just say that it's okay because the dog is sweet and doesn't play with the cat that aggressively. this happens unsupervised a lot of times.
this is my mom's new family and i only visit them a couple of times a year. they got this cat last year and the dog a year before that. if it were one of the cats that i grew up with, i would literally remove it from the house and make it move in with me. i also have my own cat and if i were to take him with me to their house, i would never let the dog play with him.

https://neocities.org/site/daughterofbilitis>i KNOW im not alonewe are definitely not alone as you can see but for fucks sake they're invading every single lesbian/female only space online and offline. it's so infuriating
here's a hug for you

>>1886019samefag forgot to add but there's also Tumblr. honestly Tumblr is a better place than it was years ago because lots of gendies just left that place. there are still lots left though, so just block the tranny tags + content like in picrel and follow gender critical women on there and everything's going to be alright

>>1886184You have this thing on your face called the "nose" (picrel), it can be used to smell things, including the body. What you want to do is put your nose up to something, and inhale through the nostrils of the nose (this action is commonly referred to as "sniffing" in nose jargon). Once you inhale through your nostrils, you may notice the sensation of "smelling." Hope this helps

>>1886189Yes, it's common for people to become so used to their own musk that they fail to recognise a bad smell, I left my bedroom for awhile and when I came back I noticed how stuffy it actually smelt, now I wasn't as used to it.
Remedy this by taking necessary precaution, wash everyday, wash clothing after 2-3 wears for non strenuous activity and after every wear for strenuous, wash bedsheets, open windows during the day. Stuff like that. If you're really worried, ask someone you trust to be honest with you.

Does this website have a spot for cartoon/fictional confessions? I have some things I want to get off my chest but I don’t want to do it here in /it/

>>1887705I always change out of my wire bra as soon as I get home and swap it for a comfortable unpadded bralette, which I also sleep in. I can't imagine just forgetting you've got a bra on.
In my very early teens I used to sleep in my (training) bra because I was embarassed about having boobs lol.
