Gerard ended the band when the tours weren't selling out, his band wasn't as perfect as he pictured it, released Fake your death that's pretty much a defeat letter. End of story.
I remember that somewhere it says that he met Lynz years before Projekt Revolution but not so long ago in a blogpost he said he married her just 2 months after meeting her. He likes to rewrite history and also brefriends famous people then pretends to be BFF with them and later tosses them out.
