It's just that it's not very common for a woman to be very voluptuous without being at least kind of fat. If they could have both they definitely would prefer that instead. It seems to be more of a trade-off than anything else, and I reckon this follows racial lines but I don't want to start a sperg war.
If skinny is becoming more popular, I think it's because these aging sex symbols realize they're too old to pull off the exotic look of overabundance in youth. It just looks 'ran through' in the moid brain, even if older women are more likely to have wider hips and larger breasts. These women are trying to ape youth by making themselves look more prepubescent. It's not that skinny is in, it's that they are desperately clinging to the youthful standard of beauty that applies to women and sadly not men. Some women try to go even more extreme with their implants when they're older, but everyone sensible recognizes them as a laughingstock. They can never undo the ravages of time by becoming more of a caricature of femininity. It's sad, but what's funny about this is that the closest comparison in moids (and the UMP) is roidmaxxing. I know it's way too late to make any New Year's resolutions but I really wish women (myself included) would embody attitudes like picrel, but reversed. I am extremely guilty of this mindset. I feel like it's hypocritical to want an attractive man because I'm not gorgeous. I was/am also scared a handsome man would be cruel to me because of my looks.
