When my cousin got married, I was a poor college student so I designed them some artwork as a gift. I got it printed and put it in a 12”x12” frame. Then, because I didn’t want them to accidentally be rough with it before opening it, I opted to not use wrapping paper and instead put a nice bow on the frame itself like picrel. The off-center now allowed you to see the artwork, all was good.
About two years later I visit their house, and the picture is hanging up in the kitchen. But, they haven’t removed the bow. all I can figure is they thought it was part of the gift overall. It looked awful but I couldn’t bring myself to tell them, because I didn’t want to embarrass them. For all I know it’s still there.
