Not once did we get a year-end bonus, and we'd get 10 cent raises once a year because they couldn't afford to pay us any more. People were working 2 people's shares of work because they couldn't afford to hire anyone else. I saw my middle-aged coworkers crying after someone had stolen from their section, and I saw them crying after getting a 10 cent raise even though they worked so hard. These people were trying to raise families working 9 hours a day, sometimes at 2 jobs. We made 30 cents above minimum wage and got the privilege of being treated like shit by customers and employees. The reason we couldn't up wages or hire new people was always because people stole too much.
It makes me fucking sick that anyone can try to justify stealing, even from places like Walmart. Regardless of what you think, we WERE blamed and penalized for people stealing. You're seriously fucking sick if you can act like stealing is okay and not even take into account the people who are trying to raise families and just live. Places like Walmart are hell on earth, how can you even begin to justify making it worse for these people?

Even though KOP is pretty much Main Line and you see some of the most affluent shoppers there, the Main Line is basically right next to Philly so it's both worlds. Kids and adults often come in from Philadelphia on the damn bus and get as much as they can. Most store associates are trained in spotting shoplifters. If you're wondering why she doesn't get caught it's because there are plenty of people that go in there and try to take shit without any "technique" so to speak. Their behavior is what we're trained to look out for and frankly I'm sure there are more people like them trying to take more stuff than like these girls. But I'm sure when we get more info if we contact the stores (I can take care of that lol I'll finally feel like I'm doing something) and let them know what to look out for they would appreciate it and even notice it in other shoplifters.
