I kind of don't understand when people say XYZ celeb woman is a yacht girl, particularly when said celebrity is an A/B lister. Like, to my understanding, yacht girls engage in active prostitution, usually paid monetarily, hence why it's done in the high seas(that's what I have heard) so there's no prostitution laws. I just don't understand why a celebrity that makes millions of dollars each year from movies/investments/concerts would do that and how what they are getting paid would be worth it? I'm not questioning if yacht girls exist, or if there are celebrities that sleep around for "favors" by music producers/movie directors. I just think the specific act that is implied by saying someone is a yacht girl is not common for celebrities that have million dollar incomes. I see it more as a thing that mid-level/low-level models/influencers/actresses do to afford high standard of life. What am I not understanding here?
