>>25672381. In America, black isn't just a race. It's been made into something like a class, and media figures are pushed to show solidarity by pretending to be more low-class (eg in leagues with
hip hop) than they actually are. This is also why women like Ayo Edebiri sometimes get harassed for not "acting black enough". Also, America is currently run by racist porn producers and consumers.
2. Hip-hop is "the" black music genre now, rather than music like jazz, RnB, rock, etc, and those were all much less sexualized. It wasn't like this before, look at Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Hip-hop, due to ghetto male and other influence, is typically very aggressive and sexual. It got to a fever pitch in the 90s, and only became worse. It panders to the lowest common denominator. One black woman (C. Delores Tucker) tried to speak against it, but was shut down and faced a lot of misogynistic abuse. Men involved with hip-hop want women to be whores, and those who don't acquiesce simply won't be pushed in the industry. When black musucians only have one populaer genre they're allowed to become famous in, this is what you get. Pinkpantheress would NEVER have been allowed to make it in the US with the current zeitgeist. What they want is Ice Spice. In the first place, I'm convinced Pinkpantheress was only allowed to be as she is because she's biracial. The same disorder is catching up to the UK slowly (I remember that "put that shrimp back in your pants" song/video). Even the Black American women who still sing RnB ared pressured to fit what hip hop scrotes like (SZA, Summer Walker, etc),
3. All these problems have been made "woke", so you're barely allowed to contest them. There's an entire subsection of Black American men who believe that not fitting into the hip-hop sanctioned aesthetic and way of behavior means you are a "race traitor" who "dates white men", and Black American women who have internalized all kinds of degeneracy as their identity. These people only think of white people, their existence in relation to white people, and live to be the opposite of anything currently classed as "white". This means that if white women are expected to be chaste, black women need to be sluts. If white women are expected to be pretty, black women need to be ugly. If white women are expected to be thin, black women need to be fat. If white women are expected to be quiet, black women need to be loud. Anything else is betrayal. This is how they've made sense of the world, and their idea of a "quiet protest" against an unjust/racist society, even if it affirms all the problems and means teen pregnancies, increased rates of heart disease (and poor health in general), encouraging domestic violence and turning a blind eye to femicide. They affirm their blackness through inferiority and rot. Whenever any black woman within the community wants or seems to embody something else, they start screaming "Well, white people will call you a nigger anyway, they lynched your ancestors when they were acting and looking all proper and the women were skinny! You are being Eurocentric, this is respectability politics!". The idea of wanting better for one's own community has become alien, because their idea of racial self-esteem has been made into…this.
4. Racist people like (even love) this set-up because it affirms the idea of white superiority, and necessarily erases black people who don't fit into negative, dehumanizing stereotypes. It also ensures easy sexual access when a demographic of women decides that promiscuity and nihilism are political praxis. All of this is just extremely convenient for racists.
