A thread for the daft, the dim, the silly and the merely confused.

Inspired by something I saw on a diff thread. Cow is an insult where I am. Interchangeable with the word bitch. What a selfish cow! etc. People who've never heard of a lolcow use it.

Are non-lolcow cows a thing where you are?

Yes though if I'm calling someone a cow/bull is still an insult by itself, often associated with stupidity (cow and especially bull) or corpulence (cow).

Animal epithet have been used for a very long time and seems to be pretty univerals across all cultures.

Yes. Cow means retarded/stupid/dumb. Other cattle are also used in that way, especially goats and male sheep.

I’m a burger and it can be an insult here too. I remember a teacher chastising a classmate in middle school for loudly chewing gum as “smacking your lips like a cow with cud”

Regarding the tariffs in the US, is there still a de minimis status for packages shipped from countries besides China? Meaning, will i have to pay tariffs if I order from another country besides China?

Is it realistic to want a househusband?

sorry but if this was grounded in reality that shit would already be prepared and out on the table

I don’t think you’ll have to pay anything, but they keep changing it. I ordered stuff from Japan recently and didn’t get hit with tarrifs, if that helps

>Asking what she wants for dinner before asking how her day was
Bad example of a househusband. He should be on his knees bowing upon her entrance to the home before obsequiously deigning to speak before spoken to inquire on the status of her day.

That would be based, but it'd also be neat to have an ordinary househusband who welcomes you with a smile.

No. 2567108

It is if you expect him to act similar to your picrel. Househusbands never perform to the same level as a housewife. They have no respect for domestic work and view the role as permission to play video games all day

But Shinji is a faggot. He doesn't actually love Asuka, he just uses her as cover. He uses her as a means to an end, and that's dehumanizing. Those kids both know that daddy is a flaming homosexual and that he hates mummy, and they're gonna be unpacking all of that in psychotherapy for years and years in their adulthood, especially after Shinji ropes after Asuka catches him on Grindr for the 5th time.

NTAYRT but Shinji is probably one of the worst males to try and turn into a househusband. She’s just being real.

why is it so uncommon for america to push regular black female artists that aren’t sexualised? don’t get me wrong all races of women are heavily sexualised in the music industry especially today but you can still see that most white and asian artists have an image beyond that, and it’s not like the basis of their entire persona + there are plenty of popular ones who don’t have a sexualised image at all. pinkpantheress made me wonder, were she american would she have ever been pushed, would they have wanted her to change her image? would they believe there to be no market for that kind of artist if not white? growing up even as a black person in britain i genuinely believed that black americans were just like that and it was cultural that everything was sexualised. actually that’s got me thinking because even nicki minaj was allegedly very different before debuting, quiet and softspoken, obviously it’s normal to have a stage image but it makes me wonder if she were white they would have given her a different one closer to her actual personality at the time. they just didn’t believe that it would be worth doing if she weren’t white

it’s strange to me that america seems more racist despite white americans being no more native to the country than black americans. the racism here is mostly classist and nationalistic but with americans it really feels skin deep, even when you’ve grown up in the exact same environment with just as many generations here as each other

1. In America, black isn't just a race. It's been made into something like a class, and media figures are pushed to show solidarity by pretending to be more low-class (eg in leagues with hip hop) than they actually are. This is also why women like Ayo Edebiri sometimes get harassed for not "acting black enough". Also, America is currently run by racist porn producers and consumers.
2. Hip-hop is "the" black music genre now, rather than music like jazz, RnB, rock, etc, and those were all much less sexualized. It wasn't like this before, look at Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Hip-hop, due to ghetto male and other influence, is typically very aggressive and sexual. It got to a fever pitch in the 90s, and only became worse. It panders to the lowest common denominator. One black woman (C. Delores Tucker) tried to speak against it, but was shut down and faced a lot of misogynistic abuse. Men involved with hip-hop want women to be whores, and those who don't acquiesce simply won't be pushed in the industry. When black musucians only have one populaer genre they're allowed to become famous in, this is what you get. Pinkpantheress would NEVER have been allowed to make it in the US with the current zeitgeist. What they want is Ice Spice. In the first place, I'm convinced Pinkpantheress was only allowed to be as she is because she's biracial. The same disorder is catching up to the UK slowly (I remember that "put that shrimp back in your pants" song/video). Even the Black American women who still sing RnB ared pressured to fit what hip hop scrotes like (SZA, Summer Walker, etc),
3. All these problems have been made "woke", so you're barely allowed to contest them. There's an entire subsection of Black American men who believe that not fitting into the hip-hop sanctioned aesthetic and way of behavior means you are a "race traitor" who "dates white men", and Black American women who have internalized all kinds of degeneracy as their identity. These people only think of white people, their existence in relation to white people, and live to be the opposite of anything currently classed as "white". This means that if white women are expected to be chaste, black women need to be sluts. If white women are expected to be pretty, black women need to be ugly. If white women are expected to be thin, black women need to be fat. If white women are expected to be quiet, black women need to be loud. Anything else is betrayal. This is how they've made sense of the world, and their idea of a "quiet protest" against an unjust/racist society, even if it affirms all the problems and means teen pregnancies, increased rates of heart disease (and poor health in general), encouraging domestic violence and turning a blind eye to femicide. They affirm their blackness through inferiority and rot. Whenever any black woman within the community wants or seems to embody something else, they start screaming "Well, white people will call you a nigger anyway, they lynched your ancestors when they were acting and looking all proper and the women were skinny! You are being Eurocentric, this is respectability politics!". The idea of wanting better for one's own community has become alien, because their idea of racial self-esteem has been made into…this.
4. Racist people like (even love) this set-up because it affirms the idea of white superiority, and necessarily erases black people who don't fit into negative, dehumanizing stereotypes. It also ensures easy sexual access when a demographic of women decides that promiscuity and nihilism are political praxis. All of this is just extremely convenient for racists.
