>>2489620Imho no, since gold is at an all times high (which means people are trying to secure money, which in turn means we are still in the middle of a crisis).

http://youtube.com/post/UgkxbX6qq_HNGECFPrzjCCrzs0-FzqfC-FAtThat said, I am giving """advice""", since I don't invest at all. I just read some news here and there. I did study some course on economics back when I was in uni, but that's it.

>>2489620I'd wait until there are signs of recovery. It still has room to dump for the next few months, especially when the effects of tariffs start to affect earnings.
>>2489678Don't feel too bad. There are a lot of people gambling away all of their savings trying to time the market right now.

Stuff I've done to save money in 2025:
>no buy 2025
>took on 2 part time jobs
>filed council tax refund for the time i was a student
>refused to get a TV license
>documenting house before tenants move in and keeping the whole deposit after it was inevitably trashed
>selling everything and anything I don't use on Vinted
>secondhand big ticket appliances and furniture on fb marketplace
>applying for water bill credit refund
My roof broke so I've been trying everything I can to save money to fix it.
I strongly recommend to nonnies that they make a spreadsheet of every purchase they ever regretted and total it up. Mine came to £50,000 over the last 10 years, it totally rewired my brain and changed how I purchase.

We are absolutely FUCKED if Trump finds a way to fire Powell. The only US assets that will be safe if this happens are physical ones like gold and real estate.

>>2491365I don't know if there is a coherent long-term plan or goals. There's definitely been some insider trading happening, but Trump and the people in his cabinet have all been contradicting each other wrt what the intended outcome for all of their economic measures is.
The idea that Powell could be sacked is unironically making me freak out. The devaluation of the USD is already affecting me financially, and if Trump pulls an Erdogan and takes control of the central bank with similar results, and investors completely lose confidence in the dollar, then the entire country is screwed because US debt will be unattractive to buy and the country will have to pay huge interest rates to those who do (further inflating US debt). There's no outcome that isnt catastrophic. I'm losing hair over this, nonnies. Fuck fuck fuck

Does anyone know what jobs are going to be hit the worst thanks to AI? i am feeling hopeless right now, i hate the uncertainty of the world. I am kinda glad i waited until my mid 20s to start college because i cannot imagine being in the middle of studying a career thats about to be gutted by AIshit. Like shit are there even stable careers anymore? between outsourcing to poorer countries and AI i cannot imagine a single job that pays the same or more than a few decades ago.

>>2492426nta but that's what people hope for. The reason why AI shook the internet so hard was because the people making the AIs were getting replaced by said AI they created, and jobs that felt untouchable from AI like art got its shit rocked. I think business majors don't realize they're next on the chopping block, I know news stations owned by larger corporations might be looking at AI for predicting the weather, or for trying to summarize complex global events. While trade is on the rise, it's not an improbability to believe that it will become oversaturated due to the next generations running to it thinking it'll be the "safe" job. Right now I'm doing whatever the fuck I want and can because we live in a clown world.

Today we saw:
>a three-point drop in the S&P
>bond yields rising
>value of the USD dropping by 1%
The current trends are basically unprecedented and indicate that people are divesting from the USA and USD. Why isn't everyone freaking out over this? Unless something changes, the US is hurtling towards a serious financial crisis that will affect EVERYONE, not just investors.
