So why do sjws/feminists love Islam so much?its a religion that goes against everything they believe in.

No. 3795

Not fond of Islam, people protect it too much and its a shitty religion which treats women like shit

No. 3796

I don't get it either.
Christianity gets criticized (and I'm okay with that) but Islam, which is like a more primitive version of Christianity with even more oppressive rules? Nooooo don't you criticize Islam, hijab must be protected at all costs. Nobody dare to mention the huge mysogyny that is one of the Islam's cores.

Exactly and its so fucking sad. The women are brainwashed.

Like all them people who died in manchester at that concert and people are still preaching "not all muslims doe"

Pfft lol and the suicide bomber who is Muslim, went back to Libya which is again another all Muslim scum bag country for his explosives. Its messed up.

Because Islam is currently being attacked by conservatives, and seeing how politics are all about sides…they immediately take the opposite stance.

I also think it gives them bonus points as champions of the oppressed.

Islam is garbage, but it really irks me that Christians like to claim superiority when their Bible is full of cruelty and incest. Both religions are gross. Many people who live in poor middle east countries, in the middle of nowhere with no books are avid Islamist followers and that's where you get the literal interpretation of stoning your daughter.

I remember a Muslim women talking about how "free" she felt after converting because of her giant blanket. Apparently people know see her for her and don't focus on her body. I think they mostly see a blanket with eyes.

Christianity in some poor fuck African nations is also as fucked up as Islam, but I don't really see the need for feminists to defend Islam as if it's better. Certainly it has more instances of cruelty.

The rise of Muslims in the UK is increasing and its depressing. I don't even like them solely as people because half the time they're rude, they smell and their beliefs are ridiculous. Yet they get the best jobs and shit because of them studying hard.

I'd rather see more Chinese, Korean or some other ethnicity than that lot who are involved with Islam rise here.

Plus no one wants them. The women are fairly pretty but they're always bitchy. Plus with them rags on their heads and faces half of us dont know what they look like.

The men are undesirable. No one wants Indian/Pakistani/Somalian men here. They're the least wanted men to date here in the UK. People go after either white, mixed or black more or less. Chinese keep to themselves.

So far I have noticed black men with like Carribean ancestry or are black British born go after white girls mostly. Some are partial to mixed women.

White women date mostly white men here but some black within poorer areas because thats where most foreigners are.

Mixed men seem to chase white women and mixed women seem to chase black men.

Asians stick with asians.

>Christianity gets criticized
But why are you pretending like there's never been any backlash to those criticisms?
Many Christians are not peaceful.

Conservatism's "War on Christmas" in the US is definitely a thing. It doesn't even stem so much from a direct attack on Christianity, but by Christians feeling threatened due to the increasing secularism of the holiday (which isn't truly theirs regardless).
And the bombing of reproductive care clinics and assassination of abortion surgeons by Christians because they think a book justifies it.
Or arguing against state and federal laws over birth control coverage because they think their religious values outweigh another's need.

Imagine if one day you woke up and your currency would have a Muslim slogan. Your children would have to go to school and recite an Islamic pledge to Allah hands over their hearts. In your everyday media, there's a subtext about Allah. Muslims would picket and protest your right to a certain healthcare because of their religious values; this is how non-religious people deal with Christianity, everyday.

I don't have a horse in this race, but I don't see how Christianity is targeted more or worse. Especially considering that most people and institutions are sensitive of it.

Second of all–I don't know where this feminists=pro-hijab meme came from–but back in the mid-aughts, I remember feminists thinking Islam was oppressive. Along with the hijab/burka. Because it was generally understood then that most women did not get a fair choice and were actually penalized or killed for violating dress code in their own countries. They still are, to an extent.

Maybe now it's a bit different because many Muslim women are actually choosing their hijabs, and know the difference when religious choice crosses over into abuse territory. Muslim families are also becoming less traditionally strict as they assimilate with Western culture.
Why should a feminist have anything against a woman who makes an informed choice to wear a piece of clothing?
These are the same 'feminists' who probably think corsets are oppressive too because, after all, the patriarchy.
Either way, that's dumb.
It's the same reason why reasonable feminists don't stop Christian girls from becoming nuns, or don't smear misogynistic Bible passages in their faces when they announce they want to marry a man.
Feminism is being about choice. It's when there's a lack of real choice that feminists get angry.

Huh? Could that please be explained in more detail?

Some Christian loonies who have brought threats and harm among free clinics and doctors who work at them have often justified their actions based on loose interpretations of the Bible.
ie. Killing is bad so I think abortion is wrong but it's alright to kill an abortion provider or seeker since that somehow prevents abortion except it doesn't.

Nine times out of ten it's motivated by an abrahamic religion.

But the bible is a holy book in Islam too. So Islam has the horribleness of the quran and the hadits…as well as the bible. Islam is automatically worse than christianity.

At the end of th day anon, no one fucking likes religion and especially muslims.
