How many of you girls shop your pics not stuff like Instagram filters but legit photoshopping whether it's your computer or phone.

Not here to judge or prove a point somewhere, I'm genuinely curious. Posting on /sty/ because this thread has potential to go bad.

I use meitu if it looks too dark under my eyes as well as for filters.
Also, depending on the angle, my face will look too thin so I will "pudge it out" a bit with the slimming tool if I feel like it.
I like to whiten my skin if its a picture I took at night in my room because the lighting is crappy and during those same circumstances I will use the smooth tool just to soften the grain a bit (never to the point of even remotely resembling a piece of play-doh).

I honestly never shop myself aside from filters. Sometimes I do it just to see how I might look with a normal nose or better cheekbones or something but I don't publicly post photos that are shopped. I think it's because I'm so dang ugly that I don't want to give people false impressions that I'm cute haha.

i would shoop myself but it would just be too shameful to have someone look at me irl and see the difference. i use filters and have whitened my under eye circles before but besides a filter i don't use anything.
not that i take a bunch of selfies anyways, but i do like to use the snow app a lot to send silly pics to internet friends because theyre just so cute.

i don't get the point into shooping yourself into a perfect version of you because everyone who sees you irl will be disappointed and girls will prob shit talk you behind your back

never shoop, but only use very flattering pics and filters. i feel like shooping is just a step too far, because irl me already looks like a chinese knockoff of instagram me.

No. 2422

Never, and I don't use filters either (mostly because I don't have apps that would let me). To be fair, I don't use SNS or post my pictures publicly online, I only take photos of myself on very rare occasions. My skin is shit, so I just have to be picky with the lighting.

if i do use photoshop is usually to change the colors or remove something that ~ruins the picture~ and i use to edit stickers too… sometimes when there's more than one thing to focus i take repeated photos focusing on each thing and then use photoshop on the main picture and replace the objects with the high quality version of them but thats pretty much it… i never used to change my appearance and tbh there's so many good apps out there to do that already… but i dont see what's the fun in editing yourself to the point it doesnt even look like you anymore. I personally would be depressed to look at unrealistic attractive pictures of me because i know i dont look like that in real life.

No. 2427

Most of the times I take a picture in good lighting. Sometimes I use meitu to remove dark circles around my eyes. 2-3 times I used it to narrow my broad shoulders a lil bit.

I shop when I cosplay so I'll look more like the character in picture
But after I started doing that I sometimes do it with my normal selfies to e.g I make my nose a bit smaller
I only use apps tho and I don't lie about it either
Personally I feel like it's okay I mean whatever makes you happy but lying about it is something where even I will gossip about

I don't use social media with my real persona, so I don't edit my "normal" pictures. But I have edited the picture that I put on my job resumes. As in removing pimples, making eyes a little big bigger and overall more healthy skin- and hairtone.

Some countries in Europe and Asia require pics on the resume.

whoa you don't need to put photo on your resume? nice.

anyway I remove my pimples and whiten my teeth, that's all. wait does removing red eye from camera flash count?

No. 2777

I do not shoop. If I post a dark pic I might use a brightening filter but that's it.

No. 2791

I have the Beautycam app so I usually smooth my skin, enlarge eyes, color filter, and push in double chin/jaw a little bit. Sucks having a wide square face, but nobody has ever said "woah you look different irl" so I assume it's subtle enough to be flattering and nobody notices.
I only post flattering pictures. Don't care if that means taking 6-8 pictures and only picking one. I don't want to publish pictures that I will regret.
