I paid out of pocket for him and would 100% pay out of pocket again because I wouldn't dare trust anyone else to make the process as comfortable as he did.
I basically switch to a new dentist every year or so, and I finally have insurance again so I can finally go into a cleaning for the first time in years but… lord help me in finding a good dentist.

This may technically belong in /m/ as this is a movie but I feel it fits better here cause my hatred isn't just about the movie itself(which I hated completely), its more about what it represents on a large scale
So I'm sure most anons here are familiar with the infamous Zola Twitter thread, but for those unaware around 2014 there was a viral twitter thread plus about a "true story" a woman went though, what happens is that Zola (a stripper) works at Hooters, meets another stripper named Jessica. They barely know each other but Jessica invites Zola to Florida for a few days to strip for money.
They travel with Jarett (Jessica's boyfriend), and "Z" (Jessica's pimp). Jarett doesn't know Jessica is doing sex work. Later, Z decides to pimp out Jessica for a night.
The dudes that Z is sending up are underpaying, so Zola goes "fuck it" and sets up her own ads for Jessica with a higher price and they start making bank. Jarett calls from the motel he's at asking where they are, and they lie.
Z brings them back to the motel where Jarett is staying. Jarett was smoking with some dude with dreads (he comes back later in the story) and said "here they are" to dreads as Z pulls up. Z gets mad that Jarett was telling random dudes about them and gets paranoid.
Z leaves to pick up his fiance, so it's just Zola, Jessica, and Jarett in the motel. Jarett loses his shit at Jessica because he saw the ads that Zola put up. He starts punching himself and saying he's gonna kill himself. Then, Jarett posts the ads on Jessica's FB, so her whole family sees.
Z comes back with his fiance and Zola explains what happened. Z's pissed off af and is about to shoot Jarett, but Jessica talks him down into beating him up. Instead, Z has his fiance unbuckle his belt, and he fucks Jessica right in front of Jarett.
Z says they're gonna trap (sex work) some more, and he forces Jarett to chaperon Zola and Jessica around, he also slips Zola a gun just incase. They get a call from some dudes asking for Jessica to come to their place, so they go to this motel and some dudes jump out the door and kidnap Jessica.
Zola gets tf outta there, Jarett's car is gone. She's running and calling him on the phone, he left to get gas. When they meet up, Zola's about to call the cops, but Jarett tells her to just call Z.
Z's mad af, he shows up and forces Zola and Jarett to confront these dudes with him. They hide in the hallway while Z knocks on the door. It was the dude with dreads, they kidnapped Jessica because they didn't like how Jessica was taking business from them.
Z finds Jessica knocked out and tied up in the closet, dreads is asking for $20k or something. Z refuses, dreads reaches for his gun but Z shoots him. They get the fuck out of there.
They stay the night at Z's condo. Z buys plane tickets for Zola and Jarett to go back home, and he leaves to ditch the gun. Jarett refuses to leave without Jessica, and he tries to commit suicide by jumping off the balcony. He gets caught by his pants.
Z drops Zola and Jarett off at the airport, they go home. and this is more or less what happens in the film
so I think major thing that should be stated is that about 70% of Zola's story(in the tweets) is either made up or greatly exaggerated, they did go to Florida, "they" did strip and do sex-work and got robbed but no one get shot, no suicide attempt, no assault, no kidnapping, Z didn't fuck Jessica in front of Jarett though Jarett did end up discovering Jessica was cheating on him with Z later online, no sex worker making over 8000$ in a single night with random Johns she hooked up with on craigslist and Zola left out a major detail which was that she herself was a Sex Worker, but the film seems to treat Zola's twitter story as all fact and multiple times seems to gloat about that its a "#truestory" and "actually happened", when its just bullshit
secondly films like Zola, Tangerine and American Honey commodify the suffering of lower income communities, they are not made to shine a light on the plight of these communities, no they are made for "artsy" reasons and to make brain dead observations about race relations by upper class minorities
they didn't even mention the fact that the real Z was arrested for literal human trafficking and forced 15 underaged girls into prostitution, instead they portrayed him a a "cool bad boy" a pimp cunt who trafficked underage girls

Orion. I have a strong irrational hatred of Orion. Living in the city, there are very few stars I see and they're all haphazardly scattered across the sky.
