No. 31413

Honest question, why is being a virgin so unappealing to women?

No. 31416

the reason women don't want you has nothing to do with you being a virgin

No. 31417

Who even still thinks like this?

I thought it was really cute that my bf was a virgin, and that I was his first.

This isn't about me.
I've met a lot of women, even some on my family that thought men, especially over the age of 20 being virgins was sad or funny. I've heard stories where a guy being a virgin is a deal breaker, yes it goes both ways but I just see a lot more of it with females.

Are you from the 80's? Didnt think we could time travel yet.

Its not a big deal most women don't care.

I don't understand? My boyfriend was a virgin and I didn't care.

People tend to make jokes about it I guess because getting tons of pussy is considered a part of being manly/masculine/cool, so the inverse, not having sex at all, must be uncool and unmanly. But like responses here will confirm, in actual relationships, most girls don't really care what your sexual history is like, they just care about you and what your relationship right now is going to be like.

Thanks for the honest answers anons.
Maybe it's just consequences of where I grew up which made me believe my op.

Nah its my fantasy to get a hot virgin guy that is all cute and shy. It's just that most virgins are fat, ugly, autistic, or all of the above.

No. 31440

I wouldn't mind a virgin boy, it's kind of hot tbh

No. 31475

virgin shaming is the result of toxic masculinity.
This is why we need feminism.

>It's just that most virgins are fat, ugly, autistic, or all of the above.

Pretty much this. Nothing against virgins, it's the person.

OP, I get the same shit for being a female virgin in her mid-20s. It goes both ways. Some people care, most don't. I'd prefer a virgin over someone who slept with a lot of women.

No. 31486

it's really not.
i was my husband's first. he said he just wasn't comfortable sexually with any of his previous girlfriends.

everyone has their reasons. i only gave it up because i thought i was going to marry my first bf. which was naive and stupid ofc

No. 31490

It's not, you guys just use it as an excuse as to why women don't want you as opposed to accepting the reality that you're undesirable as an actual person.

No, youre wrong. We dont need feminism
Masculinity and feminity cannot be toxic. Stop trying to destroy masculinity you feminazi

Women never bash men for being virgins, men bash other men for being virgins. Men only care what other men have to say about what women want and disregard anything said by actual women.

Honest question, why is not being a virgin so unappealing to men?

No. 31564

Masculinity is gay as fuck. The fags on /r9k/ who are obsessed with it are the same fags who hate masculine men ("chad" or whatever). They talk about reforming masculinity so it can apply to them, but it's really all about making masculinity more feminine so they can fall under the classification of masculine. It's fucking gay, only fags care about masculinity.

No. 31627

Pre-selection. If you haven't gotten laid by a certain point, then there must be something wrong with you. Can also work in your favor if you happen to be attractive then it's kind of exotic.

If you want an honest answer, for me personally it's because of my beliefs. I'm a Christian and I'd like for my spouse to follow the same beliefs as me.As for other men it's probably an insecurity thing or just some people prefer to be with people who don't get around.

STDs, fear that you will cheat, that you're overly sexual, and the fear that you've been with someone better in bed and we can't pleasure you.

Stupid imo, as long as the girl wasn't a slut and even then.

huh? that's the point that (not tumblr) feminism is saying. That is cool to be masculine or feminine.

"toxic" masculinity is like the masculine "ideals" that hurt men

any virgins I've hooked up with were inexperienced but had a complex about it, so they were bad at sex AND unwilling to get me off. so that sucked, but that's more with them feeling ashamed about it because of garbage masculinity.

I'm 21 and I feel ashamed that I am a virgin sorta. It's not that I'm frigid because if I had a boyfriend, we'd be fucking all this weekend. But I've never met anyone at all who is decent or like them enough to date. S'yeah. It's like everyone can get find a fuck easily (without CL).

No. 32752

My boyfriend lied to me about being a virgin when we first got together. I think he was embarrassed about it, especially because we were in our junior year in highschool. Plus he's a good looking guy and his friends all thought that he had slept with his previous girlfriends. I really wish he would have just told me instead of keeping it a secret though.
He was really nervous the first few times we had sex but tried to pretend like he wasn't, which resulted in him having issues with getting it up. I ended up assuming that he wasn't very interested in me or thought I was gross or something, and I started to pressure him about it to the point where we almost broke up.
When he finally told me what was going on I totally didn't believe him at first, but in the end I was super relieved.
I'm really glad that I'm the only one he's been with, and wish i could say the same for myself. Just be honest about it, it'll save you some trouble down the road. I'm sure most women won't be put off by your purity lol. And if your partner makes fun of you, then don't even bother with them. They're probably not worth your time.

My boyfriend lied about not being a virgin either and didn't tell me until like 2 years into the relationship and it made me mad as hell when I found out. Like that's a pretty big lie.
We are still together 9 years on but it upsets me to think that he seriously thought I would've have cared whether or not he'd been with other people, and maybe if I'd known I could have made our first time better for both of us since I was a virgin too.

He said he only lied to impress me but really, he was 16, what did he think I expected?

No. 32766

Idc whether the guy I'm with is a virgin or not as long as he's willing to put in as much effort as I am to get him off. Virginity doesn't mean much to me, I lost it early on because I was curious about it and ready to move beyond "third base".

I'm honestly surprised people look down on others for being virgins or for not marrying the person they first fucked. It's really not that serious and who you spread your legs for or stick your dick into is no one elses business but your own. Some people base how much they love someone, are connected to them or trust them on whether they have sex or not, but for others it's different and they shouldn't be judged by that alone.

No. 32778

The vast majority of women don't look down on male virgins at all, but most men seem to think they do for some reason.

No. 32779

This has always seemed so weird to me. Why would you want your partner to have slept with other people rather than you being their first? But I don't really care either way, you can't change the past.

^

I've only ever had 1 partner (8+ years together at this point); he was my 1st, and I was his 2nd. He'd only had sex 1 time before, though, and it was many years prior to when we met. I was actually really glad that we were both "inexperienced" - I would have felt super awkward losing my virginity to someone who'd already slept with a bunch of other people, plus I'd probably have been self-conscious that they were thinking I wasn't as good/attractive/whatever as some of their previous partners. I honestly wish he'd been a complete virgin, as it would have been nice to have it be the 1st time for both of us. Plus, no worries about STDs from previous partners (not that he turned out to have any from his 1 hookup).

A guy being a virgin definitely is not a universal turn-off for women, and I wish that idea would stop getting spread around by places like /r9k/.

No. 32810

>>32799

/r9k/ likes to invent excuses as to why they can't get a gf like the notion that all women universally despise virgins and they use this fabrication to mask the real reason being that they are just overall unpleasant people with very little to offer be it personality or hobbies.

Depends for what kind of person you're searching for, if you want a shy robot then It's going to be harder because they might feel intimidated. For instance, they might expect you to dump them because they've had sex with one person or none at all, and they wouldn't be any good at it.
