Aggressive cancer stories really fuck me up. The guy was diagnosed with this cancer sometime in February and as of yesterday is gone. He must have had some type of blood or lymphatic cancer as they tried CAR-T cell therapy which did not cure, and after that his only option was to try trial therapies which cost tens of thousands more–and just because he wanted the trials doesn't mean he got them in a timely manner because they had to wait for his body to recover from the wiped out immunity from the first chemo treatment which allowed the cancer to grow terminally.
What is REALLY fucked up is that this guy played for NFL and still couldn't afford the cancer treatment since insurance wouldn't cover it. They resorted to Gofundme as the guy had to stay in a motel during treatment while his two little daughters had to watch him deteriorate.
If a rich ass NFL player with all his connections still had to resort to begging, then the rest of us are fucking cooked if we are ever as unfortunate. If I was ever diagnosed with an "aggressive" cancer with no promise, I think I would just spend my last days doing whatever the fuck I wanted with a final overdose of opiods to send me off to the great dirtnap.
