Reviving the thread to share some strange things I found on hinge a while ago. I was just people watching with fake profiles, and I noticed that the women in their 20s are dramatically less attractive than women both younger and older, whereas the men start out ugly and just get progressively uglier over time. I took videos at the time because I was so flabbergasted. What do you think caused this? The women were viewed from a male account and the men were viewed from a female account so I presume it's all straights

I've never used dating apps so watching a screencap of somebody actually using one was a trip; I can't imagine what it would do to somebody's brain if they rack up cumulative hours of just scrolling through a sea of snapshots like that, making split second decisions and comparisons between them. I think I better understand why people are so fucked up lol. I guess I can't answer your question but who are you comparing them to? Have you ever just watched a hundred human beings walk past you on the street and actually REALLY looked at them? Most people look like this or worse. That's just humanity. It is what it is.

Interesting, maybe for women it's just a matter of pretty but too young to be in a serious relationship -> too mid to be in a relationship -> pretty but divorced. And for men it's like, if they are even remotely attractive they will get snapped up young and never get divorced because they are so rare.
