It's hard to forget I'm eating an animal corpse. The textures not dry since it has mayo. I think the bread and avocado is helping to disguise the tuna. I didn't add enough salt to the tuna though. If I finish this sandwich I am expecting to get physically sick since it's more than the few tiny bites I took yesterday. I didn't realize how much tuna is actually in those cans, I still have a done left that I need to finish. Also, I don't know how people can eat seafood without brushing their teeth immediately after.
Honestly, I never wanted to stop being vegetarian. I don't think I'll ever be a full meat-eater again, but eating it occasionally I think will be important for me. I feel really emotional and nervous right now and I'm not sure why. Anyway I'll stop blogging about this for now.

I think it takes someone who is really into actually eating healthy and making sure they get proper nutrients and are actually absorbing those nutrients to be a fully vegan or vegetarian. Which I'm not and definitely was worse at while being vegan. I would like to cut back on meat eventually, although I don't eat it too often as it is, since it's so expensive. You're super correct about needing to be a person who really cares about nutrition to be a healthy vegan/vegetarian btw. I was basically a junkfood vegetarian when I first started and I didn't realize that I couldn't just eat the same as I did before. Now that I've been on a weight-loss kick, I realize how closely you need to watch nutrition as a vegetarian (and arguably, even as a meat-eater).

>>1375757Ayrt, well shit! good for you! As long as you're happy and having a good time.
>>1375901I guess me thinking it's a "bad" hobby is rude and judgy of me. I personally just think of hobbies as something more hands-on or fulfilling. Like painting, hiking, gardening, knitting, baking etc. Some videogames or boardgames even. Something that exercises your brain or body, or increases your skills. I should be more open-minded though, because nonna above said she's happy and that's really what matters. I also think everyone has a different definition of what a hobby is. If someone asked what I do for fun or to pass the time, I for sure would say watching shows, or even streamers like nonna above, but I wouldn't consider that a hobby. So if someone else considers a hobby anything you do for fun or to relax and pass time, they would have a different answer! I of course don't have any sort of authority to say what is or isn't a hobby or what's a good or bad one for someone else, but I guess a "good" hobby, to me, would be something that helps you feel fulfilled and happy at your own achievements (something that's generally outside of your job, but ofc there is overlap like a lot of pro artists draw as a job and a hobby.) Anyways, sorry for the huge paragraph. I'll try to think differently about hobbies now that I've thought more deeply about it lol.

I got married last friday. We just went to the courthouse with my parents and sister, and his best friend. The next day we had a huge party at our house. It was such a happy blur. I told so many people that I loved them, we made delicious pasta and pizza, and my grandma was there. That made me so fucking happy. My uncle and 2 cousins (all close in age to me) loved my house, and that made me really proud. My older cousin started to tear up while telling me he could see we are building a beautiful life and home together. My parents hugged me and I just bawled, telling them i love them so much. I may have been quite drunk, but I was just so full of love and emotion. Also my uncle and I sang our hearts out to a Billy Joel song we both love, and when we were done, i looked at him with tears in my eyes, and he said "that was something wasn't it" and i said i love you so much. I'm so happy that my family was there, and my best friend, and my husband's best friends. I think everyone had a great time. I just can't believe it's over already.

I love that Costco has so many frozen fruit varieties in affordable prices. Fruit is my favorite dessert and I love to make all types of smoothies. I recently found a dragonfruit blend and it makes my smoothies look so cute and pink! It looks like a cool potion. The only sad thing is that now that it's getting colder I don't feel like drinking them that often because I'm cold enough already.
also kale is nasty, I wanna campaign to ban stores from using them as filler. Keep it away from drinks for the love of god!!

I feel so dumb, I've been putting them on my window sill for the past few weeks, but I should've just taken a wet rag, wipe everything down and put everything up there from the beginning instead. Sometimes I do this shit. I'm actually pretty introverted and don't really look for new acquaintances, but when I'm approached by people (ok, specifically men) that want to talk I don't usually mind, if they're nice and polite. Some of them ask for my phone number and I also don't mind IN THE MOMENT. But then I realize they're gonna call me and actually want to keep in contact etc. Ugh… and if they were normal I don't have anything against them, but I'm also not interested. Plus I start realizing they might want something else (and yeah, I don't think about it during the first encounter because they're usually just friendly and I'm probably naive). Then I don't know what to do, seems rude to just ignore them but that's what I've been doing to this point and now I think about being more direct but at the same time… the mere thoght about it makes me tired.

During my lunch break I grabbed a coffee and headed to a bench just to have some outside time. Sat next to an older guy who was on his phone. A few mins in we got talking. Turns out we're both from the same part of the city and moved here for a quieter life. We were just comparing areas and talking about the adjustment after moving here.
He was alright. Was a nice enough chat but he started talking about how he can see energies. How he could see my energy as I approached the bench. Functional guy, has a job, has some grown kids. He's part of some groups in the area and one of them is like an angel group? Not too out there but like.. its not everyday that somebody tells you they can see your energy kek

IDK WHERE TO TELL YOU GUYS THIS. but i had to tell. it’s too mundane for .. idk, another thread, but too weird for mundane thread. so i’m telling u guys here.
so, when im going home from my course, i see a small thrift shop nearby. the thing is that im on the bus, tired and too lazy to check it out at the moment. but one of these days i was walking home by foot and decided to check it out since i was really curious.
it was closed but there was this huge poster of a feminine waist wearing a mini skirt and it had a cool tattoo (no other way to explain it). on the poster, there was also a woman’s name.
i get home, search it up, and find out it’s a stylist that, a long time ago, made clothing for some used-to-be-A-celebs, very very artsy and cool and she was the model for the poster as well. but her instagram posts are all kind of gibberish (as in crazy). she also had an insane daughter who posted otaku weeaboo shit (had a body pillow and a ahegao face mask), etc very insane. i’m like wow. what the fuck is this.
so today i’m going home and guess what? IT’S OPEN. SO I RUN THERE, 37°C / 100F, and decide to check it out hoping for some cool artsy clothing very chic vintage
i get there and there’s a small kid pool filled with toys, some clothing (which were very tacky), actually all the clothing was tacky, old and had stains because they were old. and i see a woman with a kid and it was the stylist. hold on this is getting too long
No. 1389831
anyway so i check out the clothing, nothing great, but when i get alone with her it gets worse. i go in, there’s that thrift store smell of dust, which i wouldnt mind but the clothes look so bad it makes me feel worse. the woman keeps showing me the clothing, i pretend they’re all great, she drinks a beer, she asks me who im voting for, rants about her friend who got in a verbal fight in a bar about politics, murmurs to herself, whatever and then i find some cool pants and she says “oh u can try them on in the bathroom, it’s right there”, and says she’s going to find some shirts for me.
nonnas the room/bathroom looked like shit. the door was broken, there was a small part of it was dark and weird, the bathroom with a broken window, a lump of hair on the table (which i dont think it was her hair, probably doll hair). i just stand here like wtf am i doing, and then she knocks on the door which was broken and wasnt even fully closed (so she probably could tell i wasnt trying them on), and says “i found the shirts i was looking for, they were on my daughter’s bedroom!!” so she just got her daughter’s clothing for me to try? and i say oh these are so gorgeous. after 5 minutes i get out, she says she’s gonna check out some more clothing or something and goes upstairs.
i leave the clothing there, and sitting nearby the kid’s pool was some friend of hers. and there was also a neighborhood cat drinking the kid’s pool water. i say “oh tell her i’m coming back soon, just getting some lunch. i live nearby” and she says “ok” so i RAN HOME. for some reason i got scared that the woman was gonna come after me.
anyway thats it

I like to tip a lot when I go to this one restaurant chain and I especially wanted to this time because the waitress was really nice to me. Apparently, my order was delayed for some reason and she was like, don’t worry I didn’t forget, and was being very kind. She ended to giving me extra ice cream (I got a panookie). Also, at first, she gave us a little bowl of goldfish as a snack. So I tip her personally and she’s really grateful, even asking if I was once a server (I’m not). My friend then also tipped, and she had to hold back a bit of tears, and she was telling us how she never expects people to go above and beyond because she’s used to giving and not receiving. It was really heartwarming nonnas. But, when she goes back into the kitchen this guy starts yelling at her that she took his tip and started giving her a ton of shit and I was hearing her defend herself. I had never seen this moid so I didn’t get why he was bothering her, and this made my heart drop because I felt like I ended up causing her trouble, or that he would force her to split it when I wanted it to go to her only. In the end she came up to us and thanked us again, so I think it was all ok in the end.

>>1391998I have short not long hair because I got similar treatment and my autistic response to not liking things on my body has been to just cut my hair short against my head most of my life. I was raised religious and by older parents on top of my tism, so I have an overtly formal and grandiose way of communicating from what I’ve gathered. Some advice thats helped me lately, is just not letting people know what I’m thinking even if explaining my thoughts behind my actions seems to be the polite or dignified thing to do. Normies at least my age (mid 20’s) have labeled me fake and weird for always explaining myself too much or trying “too hard”, but honestly instead of conforming to be less weird in anyones eyes I’ve decided to just stay weird and over explanatory and accept that there is no real universal standard of action as long as you aren’t hurting yourself or others, and every human feels as alienated as you or I do every now and then because of the way verbal communication can be interpreted a million ways upwards backwards diagonal and sideways. Hang in there anon and remember, your own self perceived social blunder is not the highlight or lowlight of someone else’s day, and if it is they have more problems than you so no use being worried about their steaming shit take about you.

It's silly because a normie could embody all goth "interests" but there's no way they'd be considered goth because they don't look the part.
I was reading stuff in the subcultures thread on /g/ and it just struck me how people are trying to claim how only old goth is legitimate. Like, it's a fucking aesthetic, get over it. Your lifestyle is defined by you. A lot of those old goths aren't necessarily goth anymore, or their style changed to punk or whatever.

>>1393557I do agree with you to an extent , what I meant is people that just buy what’s trending on tiktok and that’s it. To me goth culture has been a way to rebel mostly to religious trauma and depression, a way to express aesthetically and obnoxiously my dissent to the heavily religious environment I grew up with and the themes of music/books/movies resonated with me and my depression. That’s also why some goths move to punk, or how gyarus use aesthetics to convey a message on how they want to be, opposed to what society told them to be.
So yes, it is an aesthetic trend, but it’s meant to convey a further message. What I am weary of is people that don’t have nothing to say through the aesthetic other than flavour of the month subculture.

decided to be quirky random and silly and finally take out my annoying nipple piercing after 6 years of having it. no idea why i didn't just take it out years ago considering it never healed properly and would always get irritated, i think i was just a huge nlog and wanted to seem edgy perhaps or wanted moids to think i'm edgy.
i've got a few piercings but this one is the only one that has caused me annoyance and torment, i've no idea why it was such a nightmare to maintain but it's over now, i'm considering making this event really symbolic and deep as a sign of me maturing and making positive changes in my life in an attempt to achieve true peace and comfort.
in reality, i was just tired of cleaning the scabs off the piercing and being unable to touch it because it felt weirdly sensitive. it was never infected either, just like it never wanted to heal. i woke up this morning and the skin is already healed over and my nip has returned to a smaller shape too, strange. anyway, now i am going to drink lemon water and get back to work. have a good tuesday nonnettes.

I almost took them out last year but I'm so attached to them, it feels like the end of and era if I ever take them out. I grew into adulthood with them!! They're honestly more annoying than anything though. Mine healed (after what felt like forever), but I always hit my nipples off of things, or if I wear certain shirts without a bra, the piercings get caught. Also if I ever need to remove them, they hurt like a fucking bitch to put back in. There's a nerve or something directly in my piercing hole. Ugh nona!! I think I should take mine out. I'm a bit paranoid of the holes closing up with something in there and it causing an infection. Did you clean yours in any special way after you took them out?

Idk what country you are in but I'm in the UK and got some Protolynd Spray on amazon. It was only around £6 and it does a great job at keeping it clean, I've just been spraying it on there and no problems so far. Definitely feels worth it now, you can also use sea salt with water to clean it.

>>1399057I am always glad to see others experiencing the joy.
I'm on leave at the moment so traveled to The Big City and stayed there a night. I wish I could have had more time there. They had a great record shop and I ended up spending $109NZD very quickly, I only looked through two crates in the 'alternative' section, which was a bit of a mix but all the covers and words caught my interest. It was all 80s-90s stuff I got, some Italian punk and goth rock among other things. I could have spent the entire day there (if I had the money).
The coolest thing was not being able to find it all online, not samples of the actual tracks at least. I spend a lot of time looking at, downloading and organising music I find online, so my dream is the stuff you can't just find online, and then being able to upload and share it back with others myself. I'm going to need to invest in some equipment in order to rip this stuff though, but some day. I'm visiting my parents so my father got his turntable up and running and I am listening to the records I got at the moment, it's one of the things I love most about discovering new media, not knowing what you're going to get! The higher barrier to entry here makes it so much more tantalizing and rewarding too, though soulseek I can immediately start downloading a hundred albums and start listening to them immediately from in bed, but here I've had to carry these things with me, on a ferry over the ocean, then plug everything in set it all up and take 'em out carefully finally drop that needle and there it is!
Next I've got some of my father's vinyl to go through, I saw he had some Joy Division singles from back in the day and I was just like holy shit. Didn't appreciate this stuff when I was younger. He's got some New Zealand stuff here too that probably doesn't exist on the internet so I'll need to make that accessible online someday when I can as well.
There is a different joy to be had with 'physical stuff' due to the higher investment. Like how you might pirate all these games and albums but never play or listen to them much if at all, but when you actually buy a game, full-price, you'll probably get right into it.

I'm thinking about trying to learn how to burn DVDs in the coming days. I think at first I'll content myself with being able to simply burn something onto an empty DVD, but if it turns out it isn't too hard, I think I'll try to go full out like my dad always did and attempt to learn how to do an entire menu, print something on the disc and make an entire DVD sleeve, too. I always watched him when I was like 9, and it seemed fun, even if he kept cursing whenever he realized he misplaced something by a few pixels and had move everything over one by one lol.

I don't believe in any kind of supernatural forces, but in the last year or so, I've noticed that bad things will happen to people right after they mistreat me. Like, at my previous job, I had a mean coworker who constantly whined to my lazy boss until my boss finally caved and contrived a reason to fire me. Within a week, the coworker got into a car accident, and my boss was hospitalized with sepsis.
At a different job, a girl was being passive-aggressive to me when I was already having a bad day. Less than an hour before it was time to clock off, one of the animals we worked with attacked her.

so i was told by a family member that i could keep wearing my gold stud earrings 24/7. they said i could wear them for weeks on end and maybe take them out to clean once every couple of months. they gifted me these expensive ear studs so i thought it was fine since they would not corrode.
fucking hell. i took them out because i needed a more thorough cleaning up of my foundation. it was the first time in 3 months. a solid layer of greasy brown dirt peeled off of the back where the studs hold the earring to my earlobe. it was disgusting. i immediately scrubbed them with soap and cleaned my ears with sanitizer as well. not only they still had sebum in the back stud's corners even after scrubbing with a nailbrush but i noticed that a bar has bent from me sleeping with them in. TLDR; DON'T SLEEP WITH EAR STUDS IN

I deep cleaned every corner in my room, even screwed off my radiator because I assumed that's where the eggs were laid when they still kept appearing days later, but they kept on coming. I think after about three or four months of finding some every other day, I just started crying whenever I saw one. I normally don't mind insects, either, but these ones kinda did it for me, I think it's because they remind me of maggots. Mine got pretty big at some point though, think a centimeter or two. Anyways I'm drunk amd ready to post on lolcow.farm. I shit you not but 90% of my posts are when I'm drunk. Usually I write something out and think it's too stupid to post but being drunk eliminates that so you get a stream of consciousness posting.

I think that a lot of people would be happier if everybody opened up a bit more in my country/Germany. Everyone is afraid of talking to strangers because they assume they might get mad at them for disturbing them so all end up being all alone and rushing through the day, never looking at anybody else.
But when some foreigner who isn't used to my culture yet randomly talks to someone or invites them or when I fuck up and have to apologize to some strangers people end up talking with each other and it's fun.
I recently thought some older woman besides me looked pissy and judging, but then the subway hit the brakes and I fell and dropped my water onto her. But she wasn't even mad, we talked for the rest of the trip and it was enjoyable.
Another time I heard some black guy and an arabic looking guy talk in Italian near me. I also understand Italien, so I finally dared to ask if they are Italians. They seemed happy that I asked and we talked for 20 minutes about issues with work and working places in Italy that forced both of them find a new job and move to Germany after happily living in Italy for 10+ years because the economy got worse there.

I was baking something and the fucking pan started smoking. It's not bad or anything, but I can't even open my oven door without smoke coming out so I have to wait for it to dissipate. I just want my food!
Also this reminds me that I need to get a pink fire extinguisher, if possible.

They’re both indoor cays but I live in the countryside and right under my house there’s a colony of stray cats, so I probably brought the flees with me after touching them.

Not sure if anybody else cares about the world cup, but the current match between Germany and Costa Rica has a female referee which is a new for world cups for men.
And for two years or so Germany has great female football commentator too. She is commenting Euro cups and a lot of the current matches as well and is the first one to do this. I have never heard anybody whining about it either, her voice is great and she is fun to listen to.

I just bid on some equipment for a damn steal because small repair is needed. I'm the only one so far, auction ending in soon, so it seems no one else realizes the brand has a lifetime warranty with free repairs, no questions asked? Shipping it to be repaired would still put the cost at like half of what these usually go for used (and they sell so quickly usually). Gotta love established sporting goods brand warranties and customer service, one of many reasons it's among few things I won't cheap out on. I'm nervous, let me win this damnit!!

It's winter which means it's lychee saison. I bought some but they're too juicy, I ate like seven or eight and went through several tissues, feeling like they're almost dripping wet. Also, the tumblr theme I chose for my blog completely crashes my laptop if I do just as much as leave my blog open for five minutes, not even doing anything. Makes me sad, because I looked for a nice theme for quite a while, and just when I thought I found one it won't work.

>>1430748I haven't noticed any bugs at all, but the game will be free next year so you could wait to play it. I saw it on sale and pulled the
trigger, definitely don't regret it as I'm having a lot of fun. The base game on sale was fairly cheap, I think the deluxe versions just include the currency to buy seasonal items. Either way I recommend it, it's very comfy, takes me back to playing harvest moon n64
