The other day, I went to a restaurant and was seated close to a table with two gnc butch women and two other women who dressed more, for lack of a better term, feminine (long hair and women's fitted clothing). Two were older, maybe 40s to 50s and the other two were younger, maybe mid to late 20s. Our section had two waiters bc one clocked out and another stepped in. Both these waiters referred to the lesbian table as "guys" when addressing them. On my left was another table with two girls and were always referred to as "ladies" by the same waiters. Ik they must get that all the time, but I felt sad for them about it.

I haven't ate meat in years, but today I decided to try (canned) tuna. I was honestly nervous and didn't want to do this, it took me a long time to psych myself up for this. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but the texture is like tissue paper. I was able to take a few bites but then I bit into something hard, I wasn't sure if it was a bone or an eggshell but it made me feel sick so I think I'm going to finish the rest of my meal without the tuna. I'll save the rest and maybe try again at a different time. I do feel a little dirty.

Also, I almost bought a small can of salmon for nearly $7. Fuck that.

It's late at night and I thought I heard something moving around in my basement. At the same time I heard my neighbors dogs barking, which they also do when someone's in our yard so now my mind has created an entire scenario where someone has crawled their way into our basement window and is inside the house and waiting for an appropriate time to murder us all a la the villisca axe murders. Samefag, I tried a tuna melt this time. It's actually not too bad. I don't feel as horrible eating an animal this time, but I still feel a little sickness in my stomach. It's hard to forget I'm eating an animal corpse. The textures not dry since it has mayo. I think the bread and avocado is helping to disguise the tuna. I didn't add enough salt to the tuna though. If I finish this sandwich I am expecting to get physically sick since it's more than the few tiny bites I took yesterday. I didn't realize how much tuna is actually in those cans, I still have a done left that I need to finish. Also, I don't know how people can eat seafood without brushing their teeth immediately after.

Honestly, I never wanted to stop being vegetarian. I don't think I'll ever be a full meat-eater again, but eating it occasionally I think will be important for me. I feel really emotional and nervous right now and I'm not sure why. Anyway I'll stop blogging about this for now.

You should have gone for the ones in packets next time, they are a little more expensive but they have some pre flavored ones like lemon pepper and ranch that are good filler in sandwiches or salads. Canned fish always has an awkward metallic flavor to it that I don't enjoy. Of course fresh always taste best, if you can get some sushi grade seared tuna to indulge in as your once-in-a-while meat then I'd go with that rather than cheap canned tuna again.

It's the liquid itself that can harm the user while vaping is less damaging then smoking however it can still damage the lungs as the chemicals in the vaping liquids that are hazardous to the lung cells.
>irritation in the throat and lungs
>Chronic inflammation in the lung tissue can cause scarring in the lungs and if they get extensive it makes it harder to breathe, as it can affect the transfer of oxygen into the bloodstream
Vaping is still relatively "new" so there aren't as much research compared to smoking which was thought to be safe for many years.

I also ate canned fish as my first meat after 5ish year of being a vegan. Was in the same boat as you. Felt sick and felt dirty for eating an animal. But I was having major symptoms of iron deficient anemia, which can cause real damage to your heart. I'm fully eating meat again now, but I do miss vegan days. I think it takes someone who is really into actually eating healthy and making sure they get proper nutrients and are actually absorbing those nutrients to be a fully vegan or vegetarian. Which I'm not and definitely was worse at while being vegan. I would like to cut back on meat eventually, although I don't eat it too often as it is, since it's so expensive. Do what's best for your health, nonny! Not all of us can be perfectly healthy without meat, and that's okay.

I know that overall it's probably for the better because I'm worried about my iron, B12, and omega 3s, but it does still feel really sucky. I just keep coping by telling myself that I'll still be eating vegetarian most of the time.
You're super correct about needing to be a person who really cares about nutrition to be a healthy vegan/vegetarian btw. I was basically a junkfood vegetarian when I first started and I didn't realize that I couldn't just eat the same as I did before. Now that I've been on a weight-loss kick, I realize how closely you need to watch nutrition as a vegetarian (and arguably, even as a meat-eater).

I guess me thinking it's a "bad" hobby is rude and judgy of me. I personally just think of hobbies as something more hands-on or fulfilling. Like painting, hiking, gardening, knitting, baking etc. Some videogames or boardgames even. Something that exercises your brain or body, or increases your skills. I should be more open-minded though, because nonna above said she's happy and that's really what matters. I also think everyone has a different definition of what a hobby is. If someone asked what I do for fun or to pass the time, I for sure would say watching shows, or even streamers like nonna above, but I wouldn't consider that a hobby. So if someone else considers a hobby anything you do for fun or to relax and pass time, they would have a different answer! I of course don't have any sort of authority to say what is or isn't a hobby or what's a good or bad one for someone else, but I guess a "good" hobby, to me, would be something that helps you feel fulfilled and happy at your own achievements (something that's generally outside of your job, but ofc there is overlap like a lot of pro artists draw as a job and a hobby.) Anyways, sorry for the huge paragraph. I'll try to think differently about hobbies now that I've thought more deeply about it lol.

My neighbor is a single man who works monday to friday, leaves in his work van every morning. Twice now when I've happened to have a day off midweek they'll be this young woman knocking for him. Letting herself round the back of the house, calling his name out and knocking way too many times for it to make sense to carry on knocking. His workvan is gone. He's not home. I feel like its a friend or family member but like.. weird that they don't know his very average working hours.

I got married last friday. We just went to the courthouse with my parents and sister, and his best friend. The next day we had a huge party at our house. It was such a happy blur. I told so many people that I loved them, we made delicious pasta and pizza, and my grandma was there. That made me so fucking happy. My uncle and 2 cousins (all close in age to me) loved my house, and that made me really proud. My older cousin started to tear up while telling me he could see we are building a beautiful life and home together. My parents hugged me and I just bawled, telling them i love them so much. I may have been quite drunk, but I was just so full of love and emotion. Also my uncle and I sang our hearts out to a Billy Joel song we both love, and when we were done, i looked at him with tears in my eyes, and he said "that was something wasn't it" and i said i love you so much. I'm so happy that my family was there, and my best friend, and my husband's best friends. I think everyone had a great time. I just can't believe it's over already.

I wrote a 3,000 piece article to my Hr department. I'm a store manager at a new location (two weeks) and there is a 17 year old incel the previous manager hired. The first time I met him he asked me to buy him alcohol. I gave him the benefit of the doubt he was joking. The second time I met him, I spilled something and had to mop it up. And he said to me "hahah wouldn't that be funny if I shoved this safety cone up someone's ass??!" Then I later found out from one of my managers who is in her 60s that he said he has a big dick and wants to show it to her. He is a high-school dropout, his mother disowned him, and his dad left a long time ago so I had concerns about being responsible for him. Otherwise I would have flat-out fired him. My HR department is sending in dcfs and our LP to interview and fire him for sexual assault tomorrow. I told them I get school shooter vibes from him and refused to be in a room with him. I feel for his bad childhood but bitch child, I ain't your mom. I hope you rot somewhere before you get the chance to ever hurt a woman. there are also tons of snails and slugs here, and when it rains they all “take a walk”.

I work at a hotel thats horribly ran by some lawyer moid who thinks he's a big shot. The property is a gorgeous former swanky brand hotel built in the 70s. Its huge and beautiful but sadly a lot of it has been allowed to fall into a state of disrepair. The main building with the banquet rooms and restaurant is down because the roof has ruined a lot of the building and now there is quite a bit of mold because of it. The owner let's it rot away and it's quite unique since its so old, they just do not make buildings like this anymore. I've seen some of the original wall paper in the other buildings with hotel rooms when they were redoing the floors (i could see just a bit in a few places near the bottom of the floor board) it was bright red and blue paisley design. Very retro and vibrant, I like to imagine what the place was like in its glory days. Anyway its very bittersweet to walk through what is essentially the abandoned main lobby building. You can tell there was a lot of energy rushing through there for decades so its almost eerie to see it in the state its in now. I've been squirlling away little things I love here and there from that building…because fuck this moid he wants to demolish because truly he can't seem to afford the repairs. Today I took a marble lazy suzan from the kitchen..and set aside some dish sets and stainless steel kitchenware. He's a nice guy and I didn't want to hurt him, but not string him along either which is why I told him. This is one of the weirdest situations I've ever been in, I feel sorry for him but I never loved him that way so to me it was casual dating and never a full fledged relationship, I didn't know he felt this way about it. I hope he feels okay or finds a new girl soon. Feels weird to be on the other side.

Just wrapped up a day of prepping my shite front porch for Behr Premium Advanced Deckover. Fucking Behr and their product names lol. This is a band aid until I can afford to replace the porch, which will be a while. It's roughly 420sqft and took some elbow grease. Luckily I was able to use a pressure washer to further strip the existing trashy paint. The deck is beat to hell, but I can at least make it pretty enough to match my fancy new shutters and gutters. Had to prep six tall ass columns for sealant and paint as well. Those bastards will also need to be replaced. Bought this large house that was built in 1910 almost a year ago and have been slowly fixing the old gal up. Named her Josephine. She has lots of character and needs some TLC. The exterior color scheme is white siding, black shutters and gutters with a charcoal/black roof. I'll paint my main entrance doors red, which are double doors with large glass panes and brass kickplates. She's gonna be a classy dame.

I was getting worried where to put my mangas because I've been starting to run out of storage space, but stupid me didn't even consider I can put them on top of my shelves, too, instead of just inside them, which means I've gained around six shelf spaces, which equals 0.75 shelves. I feel so dumb, I've been putting them on my window sill for the past few weeks, but I should've just taken a wet rag, wipe everything down and put everything up there from the beginning instead. I have to climb a bit to reach everything, but that's okay, that's part of the fun I guess.

Sometimes I do this shit. I'm actually pretty introverted and don't really look for new acquaintances, but when I'm approached by people (ok, specifically men) that want to talk I don't usually mind, if they're nice and polite. Some of them ask for my phone number and I also don't mind IN THE MOMENT. But then I realize they're gonna call me and actually want to keep in contact etc. Ugh… and if they were normal I don't have anything against them, but I'm also not interested. Plus I start realizing they might want something else (and yeah, I don't think about it during the first encounter because they're usually just friendly and I'm probably naive). Then I don't know what to do, seems rude to just ignore them but that's what I've been doing to this point and now I think about being more direct but at the same time… the mere thoght about it makes me tired.

it was closed but there was this huge poster of a feminine waist wearing a mini skirt and it had a cool tattoo (no other way to explain it). on the poster, there was also a woman’s name.
i get home, search it up, and find out it’s a stylist that, a long time ago, made clothing for some used-to-be-A-celebs, very very artsy and cool and she was the model for the poster as well. but her instagram posts are all kind of gibberish (as in crazy). she also had an insane daughter who posted otaku weeaboo shit (had a body pillow and a ahegao face mask), etc very insane. i’m like wow. what the fuck is this.

so today i’m going home and guess what? IT’S OPEN. SO I RUN THERE, 37°C / 100F, and decide to check it out hoping for some cool artsy clothing very chic vintage

i get there and there’s a small kid pool filled with toys, some clothing (which were very tacky), actually all the clothing was tacky, old and had stains because they were old. and i see a woman with a kid and it was the stylist. hold on this is getting too long

No. 1389831

anyway so i check out the clothing, nothing great, but when i get alone with her it gets worse. i go in, there’s that thrift store smell of dust, which i wouldnt mind but the clothes look so bad it makes me feel worse. the woman keeps showing me the clothing, i pretend they’re all great, she drinks a beer, she asks me who im voting for, rants about her friend who got in a verbal fight in a bar about politics, murmurs to herself, whatever and then i find some cool pants and she says “oh u can try them on in the bathroom, it’s right there”, and says she’s going to find some shirts for me.

nonnas the room/bathroom looked like shit. the door was broken, there was a small part of it was dark and weird, the bathroom with a broken window, a lump of hair on the table (which i dont think it was her hair, probably doll hair). i just stand here like wtf am i doing, and then she knocks on the door which was broken and wasnt even fully closed (so she probably could tell i wasnt trying them on), and says “i found the shirts i was looking for, they were on my daughter’s bedroom!!” so she just got her daughter’s clothing for me to try? and i say oh these are so gorgeous. after 5 minutes i get out, she says she’s gonna check out some more clothing or something and goes upstairs.
i leave the clothing there, and sitting nearby the kid’s pool was some friend of hers. and there was also a neighborhood cat drinking the kid’s pool water. i say “oh tell her i’m coming back soon, just getting some lunch. i live nearby” and she says “ok” so i RAN HOME. for some reason i got scared that the woman was gonna come after me.

anyway thats it

I like to tip a lot when I go to this one restaurant chain and I especially wanted to this time because the waitress was really nice to me. Apparently, my order was delayed for some reason and she was like, don’t worry I didn’t forget, and was being very kind. She ended to giving me extra ice cream (I got a panookie). Also, at first, she gave us a little bowl of goldfish as a snack. So I tip her personally and she’s really grateful, even asking if I was once a server (I’m not). My friend then also tipped, and she had to hold back a bit of tears, and she was telling us how she never expects people to go above and beyond because she’s used to giving and not receiving. It was really heartwarming nonnas. But, when she goes back into the kitchen this guy starts yelling at her that she took his tip and started giving her a ton of shit and I was hearing her defend herself. I had never seen this moid so I didn’t get why he was bothering her, and this made my heart drop because I felt like I ended up causing her trouble, or that he would force her to split it when I wanted it to go to her only. In the end she came up to us and thanked us again, so I think it was all ok in the end.

I have short not long hair because I got similar treatment and my autistic response to not liking things on my body has been to just cut my hair short against my head most of my life. I was raised religious and by older parents on top of my tism, so I have an overtly formal and grandiose way of communicating from what I’ve gathered. Some advice thats helped me lately, is just not letting people know what I’m thinking even if explaining my thoughts behind my actions seems to be the polite or dignified thing to do. Normies at least my age (mid 20’s) have labeled me fake and weird for always explaining myself too much or trying “too hard”, but honestly instead of conforming to be less weird in anyones eyes I’ve decided to just stay weird and over explanatory and accept that there is no real universal standard of action as long as you aren’t hurting yourself or others, and every human feels as alienated as you or I do every now and then because of the way verbal communication can be interpreted a million ways upwards backwards diagonal and sideways. Hang in there anon and remember, your own self perceived social blunder is not the highlight or lowlight of someone else’s day, and if it is they have more problems than you so no use being worried about their steaming shit take about you.

It's just so cute. I've adored every woman I've seen with that kind of hair colouring going on.

Goth gatekeeper.
I don’t even regularly dress goth anymore (too much effort for the time and energies I have), but I’m now judgemental of young people (teens, early 20s) dressing goth.
Most of them are egirl-ish, and I’d bet my fingers they don’t know anything about goth culture. Fuck aesthetic trends.

Whether you think so or not goth is and always has been a subculture based mainly on aesthetics. It’s like “goth” exists solely so people can whine about what is and is not “real goth.” All of the self-proclaimed goths I’ve ever known spent an absurd amount of time and effort constructing the perfect goth persona and it led to them being very shallow people who won’t interact with anything they don’t think fits their image. It’s so artificial and shallow.

No. 1393621

>>1393557
NTA but I feel like goth make it about "music" in an attempt to make it seem deeper than it really is, but what actually happens is it just makes music a just as shallow marker. It's silly because a normie could embody all goth "interests" but there's no way they'd be considered goth because they don't look the part.

I was reading stuff in the subcultures thread on /g/ and it just struck me how people are trying to claim how only old goth is legitimate. Like, it's a fucking aesthetic, get over it. Your lifestyle is defined by you. A lot of those old goths aren't necessarily goth anymore, or their style changed to punk or whatever.

I'm talking about individual regular people who consume that content. A normie girl who wear uggs, jeans, and puffer jackets who loves goth bands won't be considered goth because she doesn't match the aesthetic even if she likes the music and other interests typically associated with goths. Furthermore, the individuals in those "goth bands" are often not necessarily considered goth.

I do agree with you to an extent , what I meant is people that just buy what’s trending on tiktok and that’s it. To me goth culture has been a way to rebel mostly to religious trauma and depression, a way to express aesthetically and obnoxiously my dissent to the heavily religious environment I grew up with and the themes of music/books/movies resonated with me and my depression. That’s also why some goths move to punk, or how gyarus use aesthetics to convey a message on how they want to be, opposed to what society told them to be.
So yes, it is an aesthetic trend, but it’s meant to convey a further message. What I am weary of is people that don’t have nothing to say through the aesthetic other than flavour of the month subculture.

No. 1393902

I think people want to distance themselves from people who just like the goth aesthetic and will probably dress the part for a couple of years before being a complete normie afterwards vs somebody who continues the aesthetic though their whole life, albeit they may heavily tone down their look in adulthood, who had a lot of the interests you would typically expect in a "proper goth". If i had to put my two cents in, i feel like engagement in the goth subculture like going to shows or festivals seems to me to be the most important aspect of being goth as i have known people who are normies who only dress up when they go to events. I don't blame people for wanting to preserve something that has probably been the source of friendships, happy memories and a major aspect of their formative years. I feel like allowing tiktok children who buy stuff from aliexpress does cheapen the label goth a lot, especially since it seems like they are only hopping on a trend and it boils the whole movement down to facet of consoomerism. Don't get me wrong, that's the destiny of all subcultures that have a major fashion aspect to it, but i see it as a final fight against this.

As a girl who's into hardcore punk, what the fuck does punk have to do with goth? There's no appearance based elitism we have either. It's all about the music. Anyone who says otherwise is just a trust fund crust punk baby. Just wondering what you were trying to get at with this? Being two completely different subcultures with completely different music styles, I don't see why the two would be linked together or why goths would suddenly be turned on to punk.

decided to be quirky random and silly and finally take out my annoying nipple piercing after 6 years of having it. no idea why i didn't just take it out years ago considering it never healed properly and would always get irritated, i think i was just a huge nlog and wanted to seem edgy perhaps or wanted moids to think i'm edgy.
i've got a few piercings but this one is the only one that has caused me annoyance and torment, i've no idea why it was such a nightmare to maintain but it's over now, i'm considering making this event really symbolic and deep as a sign of me maturing and making positive changes in my life in an attempt to achieve true peace and comfort.

in reality, i was just tired of cleaning the scabs off the piercing and being unable to touch it because it felt weirdly sensitive. it was never infected either, just like it never wanted to heal. i woke up this morning and the skin is already healed over and my nip has returned to a smaller shape too, strange. anyway, now i am going to drink lemon water and get back to work. have a good tuesday nonnettes.

You've helped me realize a part of why I keep mine are bc nlog reasons, I hate to admit it lol. I've had mine for almost 10 years.. I almost took them out last year but I'm so attached to them, it feels like the end of and era if I ever take them out. I grew into adulthood with them!! They're honestly more annoying than anything though. Mine healed (after what felt like forever), but I always hit my nipples off of things, or if I wear certain shirts without a bra, the piercings get caught. Also if I ever need to remove them, they hurt like a fucking bitch to put back in. There's a nerve or something directly in my piercing hole. Ugh nona!! I think I should take mine out. I'm a bit paranoid of the holes closing up with something in there and it causing an infection. Did you clean yours in any special way after you took them out?

Idk what country you are in but I'm in the UK and got some Protolynd Spray on amazon. It was only around £6 and it does a great job at keeping it clean, I've just been spraying it on there and no problems so far. Definitely feels worth it now, you can also use sea salt with water to clean it.

I live in a country where tip culture isn't a thing and only reserved for occasions where the service has been extraordinarily good. This is because their employers are supposed to pay their service workers a decent wage and not make them dependent on tips. Yet even despite that so many restaurants try to make you give them an "optional" tip when paying with card and then you have to bear the humiliation of pressing "no tip" before paying for your meal while the worker looks at you like you just threw shit in their face. Goddamnit I'm not going to tip you just for doing the bare minimum!

Even worse when it's at a bar, it's kind of scummy even, preying on drunk people who will accidentally tip you like 50% just for pouring them a shot of vodka. I will keep tipping 0%, this isn't America and American tipping culture can eat my ass.

You have to fight against it or else it will take over everything. Don't make the mistake us Americans made, either business owners pay their employees without tips, or else they don't get to be in business.

NTA but Sidenote in America servers are still required to make minimum wage. If they make less than the standard minimum wage on server wage and tip their employer is legally required to pay them out. (Was an ex service worker). No one is allowed to make under minimum wage but scummy bosses will never make sure they’re wage compensating over here for pay periods that fail the minimum wage.

I ate hot pot earlier this year while out traveling and I miss it so much that I decided to just make my own today. Mostly I just wanted to sip the delicious hot pot broth, so I've made this amazing broth that I just keep sipping small spoonfuls of while it's simmering on the stove. At this point I'd happily grab a bowl and just stand over the simmering, spicy liquid eating and sipping to my heart's content. Patience is a virtue.

I am always glad to see others experiencing the joy.
I'm on leave at the moment so traveled to The Big City and stayed there a night. I wish I could have had more time there. They had a great record shop and I ended up spending $109NZD very quickly, I only looked through two crates in the 'alternative' section, which was a bit of a mix but all the covers and words caught my interest. It was all 80s-90s stuff I got, some Italian punk and goth rock among other things. I could have spent the entire day there (if I had the money).
The coolest thing was not being able to find it all online, not samples of the actual tracks at least. I spend a lot of time looking at, downloading and organising music I find online, so my dream is the stuff you can't just find online, and then being able to upload and share it back with others myself. I'm going to need to invest in some equipment in order to rip this stuff though, but some day. I'm visiting my parents so my father got his turntable up and running and I am listening to the records I got at the moment, it's one of the things I love most about discovering new media, not knowing what you're going to get! The higher barrier to entry here makes it so much more tantalizing and rewarding too, though soulseek I can immediately start downloading a hundred albums and start listening to them immediately from in bed, but here I've had to carry these things with me, on a ferry over the ocean, then plug everything in set it all up and take 'em out carefully finally drop that needle and there it is!

Next I've got some of my father's vinyl to go through, I saw he had some Joy Division singles from back in the day and I was just like holy shit. Didn't appreciate this stuff when I was younger. He's got some New Zealand stuff here too that probably doesn't exist on the internet so I'll need to make that accessible online someday when I can as well.

There is a different joy to be had with 'physical stuff' due to the higher investment. Like how you might pirate all these games and albums but never play or listen to them much if at all, but when you actually buy a game, full-price, you'll probably get right into it.

When I went to pick it up the shopkeeper was very kind towards me despite my social awkwardness, I normally don't write reviews however this time I will. The duvet weighs 8 kg and while much thinner compared to my old duvet, the new one helps me go to sleep faster, and is warmer and breathes well.

I think at first I'll content myself with being able to simply burn something onto an empty DVD, but if it turns out it isn't too hard, I think I'll try to go full out like my dad always did and attempt to learn how to do an entire menu, print something on the disc and make an entire DVD sleeve, too. I don't believe in any kind of supernatural forces, but in the last year or so, I've noticed that bad things will happen to people right after they mistreat me. Like, at my previous job, I had a mean coworker who constantly whined to my lazy boss until my boss finally caved and contrived a reason to fire me. Within a week, the coworker got into a car accident, and my boss was hospitalized with sepsis.

At a different job, a girl was being passive-aggressive to me when I was already having a bad day. Less than an hour before it was time to clock off, one of the animals we worked with attacked her.

fucking hell. i took them out because i needed a more thorough cleaning up of my foundation. it was the first time in 3 months. a solid layer of greasy brown dirt peeled off of the back where the studs hold the earring to my earlobe. it was disgusting. i immediately scrubbed them with soap and cleaned my ears with sanitizer as well. not only they still had sebum in the back stud's corners even after scrubbing with a nailbrush but i noticed that a bar has bent from me sleeping with them in. I did go to the doctor and she said to get a blood test which I did, and it was all okay except my vit. D but I do take supplements now. I wish I wasn't afraid of hospitals, it is the only thing that really prevents me from going. So when I came home after work today it had crawled up the side of the container, and since I hadn't been around making noise I could actually get a good look at it's weird little moving bit, and it was a little larvae head. I threw them out and out, and at some point simply started squishing them and then stopped again because I felt the sensation of being a killer on my hands even hours later, but they just kept coming. I deep cleaned every corner in my room, even screwed off my radiator because I assumed that's where the eggs were laid when they still kept appearing days later, but they kept on coming. I think after about three or four months of finding some every other day, I just started crying whenever I saw one. I normally don't mind insects, either, but these ones kinda did it for me, I think it's because they remind me of maggots. Mine got pretty big at some point though, think a centimeter or two. I haven't seen one in half a year I think, but still hesitate turning around to my wall because I'm anticipating finding one again.

My friend is so addicted to pizza that he bakes them every few days and they are getting better every month. We casually met yesterday and I could taste his newest creation, it was better than a lot of the pizzas from restaurants I know.
I love pizza, but frozen stuff from the supermarket isn't my thing so I only eat them in pizzerias otherwise but sadly I am not living in Naples where every pizza is 10/10 so I appreciate good self-made pizza. Personally I am better at making steaks and rather suck at baking.

I like saunas a lot.

I live in an area with lots of hot springs and the sauna resort few kilometers to the right has 33 saunas! I almost tested all of them but want to go again next week to test the rest. I think they are incredibly comfy somehow and kids aren't allowed in such resorts so it's all chill and most people there are like 90 year old grandmas and grandpas anyway.

I am bad at surviving heat for a long time so after those 15 minutes I usually have to get out and take a shower. Some can stay for ages in there, I admire that powerlevel. Think if you wore any clothes I would die in instant, which makes me realise how horrible deserts must me. Not all of them are as hot as the hottest saunas, but I was in some and it's still pure horror. Anyway in a sauna you can leave whenever you feel like it which makes it comfy. Sorry for the autism, not a Finn or anything.

No. 1420568

It depends on the family, and also the place, but this is the from thanksgiving to Christmas/new years is the most travelled time in the united states by far. Almost everyone I know personally is doing something with their family. The streets are SO crowded right now and stores will be even worse, especially since it's black friday tomorrow. Working at a store is a living nightmare here. But anyways, yeah the last few holidays of the year are a big deal here, at least IMO.

Yeah, holidays are really important to us. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the "get together" holidays so it's a great opportunity to take a break from life and chill with loved ones. Even people who don't have family or friends to celebrate with will find their own little ways to celebrate. It's called the most wonderful time of the year for a reason! So much happiness floating around the air.

I think that a lot of people would be happier if everybody opened up a bit more in my country/Germany. Everyone is afraid of talking to strangers because they assume they might get mad at them for disturbing them so all end up being all alone and rushing through the day, never looking at anybody else.

But when some foreigner who isn't used to my culture yet randomly talks to someone or invites them or when I fuck up and have to apologize to some strangers people end up talking with each other and it's fun.
I recently thought some older woman besides me looked pissy and judging, but then the subway hit the brakes and I fell and dropped my water onto her. But she wasn't even mad, we talked for the rest of the trip and it was enjoyable.

Another time I heard some black guy and an arabic looking guy talk in Italian near me. I also understand Italien, so I finally dared to ask if they are Italians. They seemed happy that I asked and we talked for 20 minutes about issues with work and working places in Italy that forced both of them find a new job and move to Germany after happily living in Italy for 10+ years because the economy got worse there.

Salt the carpet and under the couch cushions, wash the bedding. Leave the salt for at least 30 mins. Flee eggs can end up in the linens. The salt dehydrates and kills them. Is it an indoor only cat?

No. 1426975

>>1426961
thankfully I don’t have carpet so I just have to wash my bedding and the pillows they sleep on, thanks nonnie. After I gave them the pills I also used spray all over my apartment but I guess that didn’t kill the eggs sigh
They’re both indoor cays but I live in the countryside and right under my house there’s a colony of stray cats, so I probably brought the flees with me after touching them.

This shit always happens to me. I get tickets for a show and no one wants to go. I have friends going to the same show but it's allocated seats and I'm not near them. My bf won't go with me but he will take me and pick me up. So I went today and bought an outfit. I've never went to a show alone. But I love this band so much and tbh, at a show I get so into it I don't even care who I'm with but that initial going in and finding my seat etc will be in my head, embarrassing but fuck everyone I'm not stopping myself from doing things because no one wants to join me. Hopefully the people I'm sat near will be cool. Maybe I'll think of a sad story of why I'm at a show alone next to an empty chair.

I almost always go to live shows alone because nobody around me listens to the same music as me, I don't mind it but I wish I could "debrief" the concerts with my friends, I'm a huge music sperg and I can't share it with anybody.

No. 1427120

That's what sucks. I love music I use to think everyone did because I grew up during the ipod explosion I thought everyone loved vibing to music and nerding out over their favs but it's so hard to come across proper fans of music you like. I grew up on message boards for my favourite bands so maybe I was spoilt young thinking people are like this. As an adult I encounter so many people that are just not at all interested in music and I find it so weird mt boyfriend is one of those people and it's the only con about him for me. Like I'm so annoyed he won't even go with me, like we're not even standing in the crowd like the lucky ones. It's The fucking Cure too. Who the fuck can't respect The Cure? Literally so many musical artists are inspired by them imagine turning down free tickets to The Cure. Fuck me.

Ayrt and I relate, I too grew up during the golden age of file sharing and portable music, I feel people aren't very curious anymore, I'm so frustrated when I ask people what are their favorite artists and albums and they just answer "oh nothing in particular, I listen to everything (doubt.jpg) or whatever Spotify is feeding me". Turning down free tickets is retarded, even if you don't know the band you can still have a fun time with your friends and discover new music, this is just laziness.

Exactly. Like let's go watch a shitty marvel movie for 3 hours but an a hour and a half appreciating a live performance from amazingly talents artists is too much of a hassle?? I just bid on some equipment for a damn steal because small repair is needed. I'm the only one so far, auction ending in soon, so it seems no one else realizes the brand has a lifetime warranty with free repairs, no questions asked? Shipping it to be repaired would still put the cost at like half of what these usually go for used (and they sell so quickly usually). Gotta love established sporting goods brand warranties and customer service, one of many reasons it's among few things I won't cheap out on. I'm nervous, let me win this damnit!!
