>>246267no, Dr. Phil isn't fake. and compared to other drama talk shows, it's extremely mild, borderline boring.
this episode in particular has been their all-time most popular despite being so new. so i believe they actually found a genuine gem of cow this time.

I'm a forensic psych student, so no credentials or claiming to have special insight on this situation, just going on six years working towards being a feelz doctor and being up to my armpits in cases of kids like this. Some common threads are parental abandonment, irresponsible caretakers bringing predators into the home, being treated as the primary parent's counselor every time they feel salty about an ex, and being subjected to bizarre punishments (most often, humiliation). It really makes a kid not give a fuck and just go out into the world hungry for whatever sense of security they can get their hands on, usually with gross people. Now mom humiliates her on international television, the kid's gross 'friends' are putting her on worldstar and youtube and encouraging her crazy, self-destructive behavior, and being unable to distinguish positive from negative attention, this crazy girl is going full on Jessi Slaughter.
I feel really bad for her but also lol forever :)
