I'll see if I can find the screen capture, but yes Harlan Ellison did give him a talking down to a year or so ago. William or Erik or whatever he's calling himself this week kept going around calling heartland his mentor and friend and Harlan basically told him "I have no idea who you are and stop using my name"

Pretty sure this part is 100% true, he's always trying to cause some drama so that his name can come up. He's like the Oinision of the Horror Community.

I wish I could find my original screenshots there's actually two parts to it. 1 where Harlan claims not to know William, and William responding by saying that being older Harlan's mind isn't what it used to be. Then Harlan posted the response I have attached to this.

William is truly the running joke of the horror community and he brings it all upon himself. He's been blacklisted from conventions for stocking female horror actresses, he writes books are pretty much bad fanfiction and then when they don't sell well he claims that the horror socials as he calls them have conspired against him to cause these low sales. He is also notorious for opening numerous accounts and holding conversations with himself acting as fans or interviewers.
Here's a link to his interview with horror Bob, horror Bob is also William Pattinson so in effect he's interviewing himself to stroke his own ego. If you go to horror Bob's blog conveniently horror Bob apparently died several years ago and horror Bob's wife (also William Pattinson) supposedly turned the blog over to him.
