Social media has such obvious negative effects on children… remember way back when parents who let their kids watch tv all day were called horrible? now so many more people let their kids be on social media all day & all night as if that's normal…it's scary.

I think we will see a big class divergence here. Wealthier/classier people will understand that social media is bad for their kids' mental health and they will raise them without it for as long as possible, raising healthy & balanced people with less self-image issues, while people who either dont have the time or are just trashy will let their kids be on socialmedia all day, and those kids will be retarded and brutally image-disordered. It's not entirely a wealth/education thing, I have an aunt who's rich & a doctor but has the tv on 24/7 and of course her young kid always has the newest iphone. And the kid is an insane spoiled nutbar with adhd & every other issue… who could have predicted this.

In retrospect I'm very grateful to my parents for not having cable and only letting me watch 1-2 hrs max of tv a day… i probably watched the lion king on vhs an unhealthy number of times but luckily I didnt go furry so all is well.
