Caleb Lawrence McGillvary, better known as Kai "the Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker" went went viral in early 2013 after using an axe to stop a crazed man and then animatedly describing the events in a news segment that gained him national attention and landed him a spot on Jimmy Kimmel.
Several months later he was arrested and accused of murder after being raped by a powerful New Jersey judge (Joseph Galfy, 74) and fighting back in self defense, causing Galfy's death. Currently incarcerated in New Jersey for almost 10 years, Kai posts updates via his team of family and friends to FB detailing not only his abuse at the hands of officers, but the ways Galfy's network has destroyed evidence, obstructed justice and attempted to slander Kai. As of October, he is now also going to be the subject of a Netflix movie, begin to set filming this month as told by Kai in one of the recent videos.
