Animated story times are fucking cringe and I don't get why more people don't talk about it.

The over done dramatic retellings,the "tug on your heart strings speeches", the obligatory "abusive" friend or partner.

Like storytimes channels annoy the hell out of my and I don't know why. At first I felt like I was being autistic about it but somebody has to agree.

How your average storytime goes

"This guy I knew in 7th grade was a real dick and he was so toxic,my whole world fell apart when we danced at the big school dance and he danced with another girl. I felt worthless,like my heart was scissored in half with scissors. Then I realized that I should never dance with that boy again and I'm now in therapy from the ptsd."

It's exaggerated but that's pretty much what it is.

I'm happy that they're trying to warn their young audience about abusive,toxic people. That's great. But holy fuck the dramatics are so odd and immature especially because a lot of these people are on the older side.

That one's the least offensive though I can't stand fucking Alex goddamn Clark.
