His music is not good and he's ugly. Is it charisma? Is it the British accent? His fangirls seem to go on and on about how talented he is and what a great ally he is to their preferred social causes. He seems extremely artificial to me, and his agent being Azoff does little to dispel this notion. The most striking thing, I think, is that his tween fans did not age out of him like Justin Bieber fans did. I see women in their 20s and 30s gushing over how handsome and talented and special he is using language that is more suited to 14 year old girls.
