This isn't a Venus thread, I'm just curious about something.

Given what you've seen on /pt/ and /snow/, how would you avoid your own child going down the same wannabe idoru/want to go to Japan/Korea and get a visa at any cost route?

Do you think there are common trends a lot of lolcows have in their youth, of absent father figures and the like? Do you think as a parent you're probably best off clamping down on excessive weeb tendencies early, as a mother or father?

To me it just seems like so much of the crazy weeb shit you see on /pt/ and /snow/ could have been avoided with some decent parenting skills.

Become an expat and raise your kids in asia. That's what my parents did

It takes off the rose tinted glasses at an early age and lets you see Asia for what it really is.
>Sadly Asia are doing much better than the west when it comes to this SJW bullshit

While I agree with this, I don't think that's because Asia is inherently shitty, it's just that it shows you what it means to be a tiny minority in a sea of yellow.

I spent a couple of years over there and it does change you.

I plan to never have them. I don't like them but tbh even if I did, I'd probably loose them to peer pressure or online bullying and shit. It's an obnoxious time to try and be a parent, above and beyond the usual worries.

Parenting is easy if you aren't psycho and know a little bit about childhood development.
Honestly there needs to be some sort of test to pass before people can have babies.
Nonetheless, here are some tips.

Do not beat the kid. Don't scream at it and call it names. Don't live vicariously through it. Treat people nicely, your kid will mimic this. Your kid is never responsible for your feelings or your needs. Your kid will feel emotions and stuff, those feelings are valid even when you think its weird or dumb. Don't tell the kid you think its feelings are weird and dumb.

She said those were her tips for parenting and didn't single you out specifically. Why so hostile? Or, which parts do you disagree with and why?

Treat your kid like a special snowflake. Cater to its desires and never show disdain. It will blossom into the specialist of snowflakes in the whole wide worlds~<3

Make sure to let your kid be aware of how shit some parts of the world are. Not just in terms of living conditions, but in the way that they perceive the world and their general philosophy of life. Don't teach the rose tinted version of other cultures that they teach in schools, teach them reality. Let them realize how good they have it and how vulnerable their position in society is. If they lived in a good environment their whole life, they'll think bad things can never happen to them. Give them a taste of the ghetto so they have something to strive for.

Additionally: if you got fat during pregnancy, don't blame the kid. Don't ever make it feel guilty for your need to hoover candy bars. That is vile.

How do you stop your kid doing this sort of shit?

I thought all the stories of revenge porn and girl's lives being ruined by stray nudes/being recognized would have made the average female a bit more cautious about taking nude pics these days, let alone taking them and posting them to the internet.

How do you stop your kid doing this?

PS fuck smartphones.

As a dude I'm honestly in awe of motherhood. What women give up for their children etc. It's amazing how deep that love is.

Having a baby can completely change the focus of a person's life, or make it more difficult for them to be able to do things for themself. It really does become all about the kid.
