>>71990Isn't it weird how you'll encounter these ostensibly really liberal, left-wing people who will simultaneously defend East Asia and East Asians regardless of the circumstance but jump down a white person's throat for a perceived racial "microaggression" or something similar?
I mean East Asia is easily the most ethnocentric, "racist" (I hate using the term given how meaningless it has become) places on the planet and the average Asian, or at least Asian male believes in things as a matter of course that would get him marked down as a "nazi" in the West. A good number of Koreans will actively harass Korean girls with non-Korean guys, and this isn't just old men. It's young ones too.
A good comparative example to put things into perspective is Trump's proposed changes to US immigration and naturalization laws, even if Trump completely got his way, they'd still be comparatively way more permissive than those in China, Japan and South Korea. Yet PULL types, including a few who have found their way over here, will have wildly different litmus tests for jumping down someone's throat about perceived racism.
I used to think they were just ignorant of the reality of East Asia, but they really do have a blind spot.
Also I cringe whenever I hear one of them say Asian men "treat women better". Somebody hasn't ever seen Korean husbands in Seoul and what they get up on the weekends.
Anyway, don't want to turn this thread /pol/, but following lolcows taught me that weeb wasn't just some meaningless insult. Actual, literal weebs really do exist and they're terrifying. And they're almost all female, which is doubly embarrassing, for whatever reason men grow out of easier.
