i wish i could redo my childhood. i started slacking in middle school and eventually dropped out 2 weeks after i turned 16

I don't remember a whole lot about being a kid is the thing.

I got alot of second hand embarrassment when I was around my exes 12 year old son. I don't know if he was slow or if my expectations of where a 12 year old is at developmentally were off.. this kid was big for his age but like a 6 year old to try and talk to. He had an assessment to see if he had any disability and when the report said no I had to pretend that wasn't incredibly surprising. The parents either tiptoed around the obvious or somehow didn't see something was off. He used to drive me nuts in some respects but I hope he's doing alright and that he catches up and has a normal future.
