What are you guys currently reading?

Picture related. I usually read fantasy/science fiction but lately, reading about other people and their real experiences has been just as fascinating if not more so.

Pic related. I read a lot of books about history, mythology, or ancient peoples. It's interesting to think about a nonmodern world and learn about what people had earlier believed in, their culture, and events that occurred at such a faraway time. I couldn't pass up reading these tales.

Currently reading Cosa Nostra: The history of Sicilian mafia by John Dickie. Lately I've been more and more into books about history and psychology (from few specific fields) rather than just fictional novels. Though I'd love suggestions for books to read during Christmas holidays, anything similar to Neil Gaiman's work or books about psychology of lying, other than Paul Ekman's studies would be much appreciated.

Celtic mythology is vastly different. The Iron Age was long before the first viking raid happenings on the coasts of Ireland and Scotland.

What's a book with great prose and imagery? Pls recommend. I don't care about the plot or theme or genre. It can even be teen fiction.

That's not quite what I had in mind. What exactly do you like about it? Reads like a blog post to me.

Reading some Stephen King lately. I kind of dismissed him before as being as a generic horror writer, but so far I was very wrong. I just read Under the Dome, Pet Semetary and now I just finished Misery. Good stuff.

Sometimes its a stupid giant space spider, or murder via the phone, and sometimes its the most shattering, devastating description of that raw childhood terror and all the grow up shit falls away and suddenly you're scared under your blankie in the dark
