I lived with Chinese people last year and this is all true.

Not all but the vast majority of them live like insects, crawling through their own shit and trash, leaving their food everywhere, even on the floor, to rot, even open containers of meat.

Fact of life: the average Chinese cares very much about how they appear externally hence why they overload their bodies with branded clothing, but give little to no fucks about the lack of substance underneath. They are incredibly selfish and most often in any situation are thinking only if themselves and how the situation can benefit them.

I lived with Chinese people as well a few years back, and their particular vice was that they never cleaned the kitchen. Dishes were always done, food was always stored decently… but the counter tops, stove, range hood, fridge and microwave were all covered in literally an inch of congealed oil and filth. I thought our kitchen floor was grey linoleum until I mopped it and it came up bright white and gold. I just never understood.

I read somewhere once that some of the bad manners associated with Chinese people are so prevalent nowadays because it was almost encouraged by Mao. During the Cultural Revolution, good manners were sometimes considered elitist and a mark of high education. Mao didn't trust scholars. So if backwards peasants wanted to push through a crowd it was no problem. idk how true this is but it's interesting.

But then my aunt and uncle went to China once and will never forget the bathroom with shit smeared all over the walls. That's probably not something Mao had anything to do with.

A lot of it has to do with a very specific sect of Buddhism.

A lot of people have this notion of Buddhism being all about karma and goodness to the world etc., but there's some scriptures that dictate that in order to exist successfully and move forward towards attaining enlightenment, and one must do whatever it takes and destroy anybody in their path in order to reach that position.

The teaching relating to this is as such:

>"Whether you're facing inward or facing outward, whatever you meet up with, just kill it!"

>"Then for the first time you will gain emancipation, will not be entangled with things, will pass freely anywhere you wish to go."

Unfortunately for the Chinese people this one really stuck.
