What I really wanted to do was buy a wedding dress from the thrift store and make a corpse bride costume but I'm incredibally busy and I'm not doing anything for halloween. It's my favorite holiday but oh well, maybe I could just be comfy and watch spooky movies

This is the first time I won't be home for Halloween so I'm sad about that. The last few years no kids came to the door so I've stopped dressing up. I used to love watching horror films and getting a fright when someone knocked on the door. I also loved freaking kids out with fake spiders and eyeballs lol. I can't stand "princess" or "sexy" costumes, I always go out with fake blood and ugly makeup.

I can't wait to get my own place and have ghost projections in the windows and turn the garden into a graveyard.

I'm dressing up as Baba Yaga and building her a mini-house (on chicken legs ofc!). It will just be me and 3 friends at home, watching horror movies but it gives us an excuse for dressing up and baking halloween themed pastries.
I'll also be making a meatloaf in the shape of a baby.

im going as britney spears' iconic and somewhat cliche hit me baby one more time outfit. im going to my friend's halloween party next week, but i doubt any of the attendees will get my costume as most of them are autists who take pride in hating mainstream pop culture.

I was able to go to Universal Halloween Horror Nights like I did last year too since I have no friends where I live right now. Plus the only option is to go to crowded bars dressed up pretty much. It fucking sucks. HHN was awesome and I had so much fun but it leaves me nothing to do on the actual day, so it's practically over for me and it's my absolutely favorite time of the year and holiday. I'm grateful I got to do that much though. Next year I'd like to go to Salem or something.
I hate that cold weather and Christmas is right around the corner now.

My city has a haunted house that you need to sign a waiver just to get in, and I really want to go, but none of my friends want to. Part of the fun of a haunted house to me is all of us laughing at each other when we get scared, so I don't really want to go alone. (Also I'm less of a coward around my friends.) I did one with them a few years ago, and it was great, but they aren't interested this year.

Other than that I'm not doing anything to celebrate this year. All my young family members have people to take them trick or treating, so unfortunately I can't steal any of their candy.

Me too, anon. I’m so bummed it’s already tomorrow. I feel like this month was way too hectic to really enjoy everything. Never even carved a pumpkin and didn’t get to watch scary movies every night like I usually do. But the horror bars in my city are doing events on Nov 1-2, and there’s a big Dia de los Muertos party planned, too.

I work in an office full of old people and expats, and while everyone is very kind and nice, I'm a little self conscious about dressing up. I'm just gonna wear my regular clothes and put in my vampire fangs and see if anyone notices, y'know the whole "monsters live amongst us" sort of shit. I think it'll be a fun thing for myself, plus I bought these after Halloween when Spirit was having a 50% off sale so it'll be fun to finally use them.
