Its less intimate than a house party imo, which can be awkward for me when I don't want to speak or dance with a particular individual because we're kind of stuck in the same space, even if across the room from each other because I feel like we should get along being that we know people there.
Either way, I don't go often because I'm not a huge fan, but I can't lie and say they aren't/can't be fun.
