Anyone else here obsessed with the future (especially the future of medicine)?
I've been since I was really young and even more so since learning about transhumanism.
It has nothing to do with the transgender movement or otherkin, it's the belief in using technology to exceed the natural limitations of our bodies and minds. Some day we may live excessively long lifespans and develop our children in artificial wombs instead of carrying them ourselves and the thought just excites me so much. And it's within our reach in the next hundred years, ethics are the only thing really slowing us down. And within our life span, life extension technology will likely be developed allowing us to live even longer to see even more technological advances before we inevitably die

This is sarcasm but the human body is very limited and imagine how far we could go beyond our limitations and improve it if all these pesky ethical considerations weren't in the way. Hell, medical science would probably be a lot more advanced now if human cloning and testing wasn't so taboo (and illegal)
