Well, I remember being 15 around 10 years ago and I had a lesbian emo friend who was the prototype of a tumblrina, she would bitch at people for using "ableist language" such as calling someone crazy or stupid, claim she had all kinds of mental illnesses, sperg over eating meat etc. It wasn't all that great back then, but because social media didn't exist outside of dedicated message boards, people weren't exposed to all the SJW crazy so it didn't get a chance to spread around as much as it does today.

What kind of music do these 15-year old tumblrites even listen to? I feel as if the SJW issues and ideologies have replaced the music in these new subcultures.

I mean, I thought the whole trend of every emo/scene kid apparently claiming to be bisexual seemed so obviously fake and attention-seeking and was just kids trying to seem different and trendy but this Tumblr shit…it's something else.
Just hoping it's something these fuckwits will grow out of, just like the emo stuff. Otherwise their generation is doomed and I'll be truly afraid for the world.

Most either listen to the same "emo" sort of music, or Halsey, Purity Ring, Azealia Banks, Marina And The Diamonds, Lana Del Rey, etc. Whatever is "pop but still kinda sorta alternative".

I actually don't mind it much. Western society seems to be in a state of unrest, so it's good for people to try and learn what's what and get involved (even if it's from a young age and they aren't doing shit but blogging about it).
The thing I do take issue with is middle upper class kids from boring neighborhoods trying to co-opt being trans and/or mentally ill, then insist they don't need to be dysphoric or display any symptoms of the illness they claim to have, and use it to pander for attention (or see themselves pandering for attention as "totally real proof I AM mentally ill"). Don't even get me started on how much they seem to fetishize both issues. "in my headcanon everyone on thomas the tank engine is autistic uwu", "trans mickey mouse receiving a binder that matches his skin for his birthday and crying out of happiness", "queer bpd danny phantom!!!!!", etc. Fuck off with that shit, it's gross.

I was an emo kid but I was more of an edgelord, cutting and being obsessed with the columbine shooters, oh well. That was about 8-10 years ago.
