Sonico was my waifu before she got super popular, so yeah, I am kind of bitter all the "body positive" attention she gets and attention whore cosplayers think they can do her.

These other girls are catering to a certain type of otaku with a fetish for thick girls, since Sonico started it all with just being a bit realistic in areas, which was good really. A girl with her breast size wouldn't have tiny stick legs so at least she was proportionate.

They clearly saw how well she sold, some of them being fat lovers, then catered to guys who liked specifically chubby girls with Pochaco. Now Taruko seems to be for guys who like fat girls or "BBW" types. I wouldn't care if it wasn't for the fact people are gonna want to cosplay her.

Sonico IS cute. And you're right, people acted like she was some huge body pos thing. She's bigger than a loli, so different than other anime girls, but she's just….thick.
