Anyone here use 'em? I'm specifically asking about iem's / the kind that slip inside your ears.
I've got a few questions…

>How long do you use them for?

>How loud is your music?
>What earbuds do you have, exactly?

*Earbuds

I just want to complain about how the fact that normal flat earbuds have been almost entirely phased out and replaced by inner earbuds. Am I really the only one who finds them incredibly uncomfortable and kind of gross? Sticking something in your ear is fucking awful, how can they have gotten popular enough to be the default?

Get a pair of nice IEMs and never look back.

100% agree. The inner ear ones feel horrible and in my experience they sound bad and wrong. I wonder if a lot of people have huge ear canals because idgi. It sounds and feels like I'm sticking a seashell in my ear to hear the ocean along with music.

Apple's old flat earbuds (and its knockoff versions from china) are my go-to. They're nothing compared to the quality of moderately priced headphones, but I can sleep in them and travel with them easier.

They make my ears…humid? It's bad. However I've had the same Panasonic pair for literally 6 years (I clean them often) and they've never broken. Usually earphones last a few months before the cable on one side breaks. I prefer headphones but they break quickly too

Recs for good earphones and headphones that are affordable+fit wimmins ears well are welcome

Anyone have a favorite pair of cheap earbuds? I’m pretty prone to fucking up earbuds (or at least losing them).

And I listen to things at below the median volume level when I’ve got earbuds in. I hated having to share iPods back in middle school and high school with someone because they’d suddenly turn it up to the highest decibel. Planes’ intercom systems are the devil—I just want to watch some on-flight entertainment on a teeny ass screen, not have my eardrums blown up. They’ve made me wrench out and fuck up my earbuds, even.

Those round ones would always hurt my ears if I had them in too long. The inner earbuds are more comfortable for me and they drown out sound too, like I can't hear shit when I have them on.

did this really need a dedicated thread?

Not to be a hypebeast but the beats earbuds are the hands down best i've tried in terms of staying in place (they come with these extra pieces of rubber), sound is good too. I listen with ca. 60-70% loudness and wear them for a couple of hours at a time usually.

but beats is an overpriced meme brand

I hate this rubber design, the rubber pieces always, ALWAYS, fall off and I lose them forever.
I don’t use earbuds that often, only when I’m in car. I don’t like loud sounds so I keep my volume pretty low.

I recently purchased inner earbuds and I'm really not liking it. It gets dirty very quick also it's kinda painful after a while. I might as well just wear headphones then.

>>273642
Sorry you are basic and wear the ones that come with your phone.

Agreed, the influx of dumb as fuck threads and new threads for things that already had one is so annoying.

this ^^^^^^^ its so annoying. they make my ears have pressure like im underwater or something, and they fall out because i dont want to stick them farther in.

currently i use apple airpods. they're wireless and bluetooth. the only downfall is they have 2 hrs of talk time which isnt a lot. i talk on the phone alot to my bf or family. they stay in my ears quite securely as well. I had PowerBeats wireless but they fell apart after a year of daily use… the volume control just split in half out of the blue. the ear rubbers started peeling. I treated them gently all the time. My wired Beats solo 2s fucking stopped working in one ear TWICE. and i hardly wore them. idk if its the wire issue or the actual ear piece. I got it fixed under warranty once. after the warranty was over, they stopped working in one ear again. Beats are truly garbage. They hurt my ears and put pressure too, so i still to in ear headphones. i wear headphones pretty much all day. im usually watching youtube or on the phone

I bought inner earbuds for the gym because they have bluetooth. I’ll admit that the sound is much better than my old earbuds, but I dislike that I can hear the reverberation of my feet if I’m running on a treadmill. I also rinse the removable rubber bits with water every time I use them.
