I wasn't particularly looking forwards to going to Tokyo (sister booked the trip). I thought it wasn't going to be that great because of weeb hype and way too many people going. But the city blew me away and Japan has been the favorite country I've visited out of about two dozen. I guess I'm just a basic bitch. Even seeing huge amounts of tourists in Shibuya didn't bother me because I can't fault everyone for wanting to go, and it was very easy to go to places with almost no tourists like this random shrine I stumbled across. Basically my unpopular opinion is Tokyo is amazing and really worth 100% of the hype surrounding it if not more. I literally recommend going to everyone with the means to do so because it is that good and there really is something for everyone.
