Unpopular opinion but I like Sydney Sweeney as an actress and I remember seeing her in one of those 'expensive taste test' videos for Cosmopolitan, I wish she wasn't so sexualised, I know she plays into it now though. I hate that if she didnt have big boobs it would probably be different idk. I haven't seen euphoria but I liked her in Immaculate and I've watched a few of her films. Weird to offer that hot take before watching her most notable role. Her character is a pornified sad misunderstood girl with daddy issues who can't stop showing her breasts trope, who then evolves into an unhinged skinwalker pickme who can't stop showing her breasts in the second season. All Sydney had to say about this is that she loooves Sam Levinson, she had to ask silly Sam to stop writing so much nudity for her and he totally respectfully did, and how she can't wait for her character to get even more insane.
Best case scenario she is very dumb and is more enthusiastic than she needs to be sucking up to her boss. Most likely she's not a great person who bought a career via fake boobs, which leads me to believe that she isn't that talented. Her acting is honestly decent in Euphoria imo. People were saying she's over the top, unbelievable and cringe but I think she just had trouble really getting into the role at times because of how lame the writing is. I've seen really great actors fumble roles when they're given a shit script to work with. Her character in Euphoria almost feels like a caricature at times, so I appreciate that she did her best with what she was given.
