Does anybody know if you can really make icing by mixing frosting and pudding together? I had the most amazing cake I've ever eaten in my life (7up cake), which they said had frosting made exactly like that. Has anyone else had it? How many parts pudding to frosting?

nonas, I recently had a birthday, and I was pretty much alone. I didn't have cake or anything. Recommend me a cake, please, for fun. Maybe I will make it on the weekend. The one cake I dislike is American cheesecake.

This is a pretty simple chocolate cake recipe, but it's great to use as a base and then jazz up with a favourite icing or filling if you decide to do layers (works great for black forests, and my friends and family love it with whipped dark chocolate ganache). It's one of my staples for events lol (the other is a cheesecake)

No! I like cream cheese frosting. I just don't like the sour cream part of American cheesecake - people always ragged on me for not enjoying cheesecake. Then I tried my grandmother's Polish-style cheesecake and realized I did like the European kind, which uses a drier cheese and doesn't have that sour cream layer. idk people get weird if you don't like NY cheesecake even if you like almost every other kind of cake
