It's a long shot but I figured I'd see if there's any nonnas from the Caribbean on here.
>The Caribbean, is a subregion in the middle of the Americas centered around the Caribbean Sea in the North Atlantic Ocean. Bordered by North America to the north, Central America to the west, and South America to the south, it comprises numerous islands, cays, islets, reefs, and banks.
Countries that are part of the Caribbean include: Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago
Territories like Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, US Virgin Islands are also welcome to post.
If you're outside of the Caribbean but are thinking about moving or doing vacation, you are also welcome!

>>2249393Chicken Souse! I've honestly never eaten anything similar to it outside of my country so I'm not sure if other cultures have an equivalent to this.

>>2269865Wow
nonnie, that does look very similar and delicious. Maybe there was some inspiration since our country does have a pretty significant Filipino population.
>>2269869Well the pictures are a bit misleading because usually the chicken cooks so long in the soup that it just falls off of the bone. You can usually also get any remaining pieces off easily with the spoon at that point. Try it nonna, it's delicious.
