I’m not celebrating because it’s on a Thursday and I’m gonna be away this weekend on a fun vacation. We don’t get trick or treaters or else I’d probably wear an AP bunny coord to hand candy out. Definitely going to go all out and wear full AP everyday of my vacation though, so in a way that’s how I’m celebrating.

Carving pumpkins today!!! I love carving pumpkins, I wish I had the whole day to carve them. Shame it takes so long and hurts my hands so bad but I enjoy it so much.
Does anyone know how to do the pumpkins that keep their meat and you cut off the skin? Those always looks so fancy and I think I might to a few as autumn decorations.

I'm only dressing up for work but I'm going to dress up as a teddy bear. I have an oversized brown sherpa sweater so I'll wear that with brown pants and a headband I made into bear ears.
>do you still give a shit about halloween or any reasons why you aren’t celebrating
We never get trick or treaters anymore so I didnt bother decorating outside or buying candy to hand out. I am going to make some mini pizzas in the shape of pumpkins and ghosts for dinner though and watch some spooky halloween episodes.
>what are you baking/cooking
Tonight I'm going to make pumpkin spice cookies to bring to my coworkers tomorrow and thursday

I always enjoy Halloween! I'll be watching appropriately themed movies all week for the occasion. So far, Scream 1-3, all of the Underworld movies, World War Z, and Practical Magic. Also an old movie from the 80s called Spellbinder about a woman who tricks a man into being a willing sacrifice for her coven. Other movies queued up for the week: The Craft, Halloween (duh), the Final Destination movies, Interview With the Vampire, and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (no Halloween is complete without Sally Brown's epic meltdown).

I'm not planning to wear a costume, but I will get into the spirit of things with my clothes. For day, I have a witch print dress and spiderweb shoes. When I hand out candy that evening, I'll be wearing pic related.

No. 2231133

I won scariest costume at a Halloween party this weekend! I went as Samara from the Ring. It was so much fun scaring people all night, one of my fave costumes yet.
For the day itself, my friends and I are giving out candy and then having a scary movie night. Probably won't dress up again but I'll wear an orange sweater and my ghost face earrings. I love Halloween! Have a spooky day all the ghoulish nonnies who celebrate.

I'm really not in the mood to celebrate this day because the first train I was taking got cancelled and I've had to spend the last 24h in my computer cancelling tickets and finding new ones to buy for the earliest date possible. I was very proud of how I managed all the returns but I made the mistake of buying a ticket that I won't use. I feel awful about the money loss but the worst part is that my new boss hasn't been completely supportive of my trip's delay. Everything was going great until the very morning of my departure. I was ready to celebrate Halloween in my new home and I'm stuck in my family's apartment for a few more days. Sorry for the unnecessary vent. I haven't had a decent Halloween in years.

I love the vent thread pic, very cute and spooky. MLP always reminds me of my friends from high school, we didn't spend a lot of time online so we didn't see any of the weird shit, it was just 4 girls watching and drawing ponies together. We all had OC ponies and would draw each other pictures of them all together. One of the best Halloweens I had was with them, dressing up in bad Team Rocket grunt costumes.

happy halloween nonnas! i never get trick-or-treaters but i bought a small bag of candy just in case. turns out this year my neighborhood is doing an organized trick-or-treat ride for all the kids so now i fear i won't have enough to go around.

No. 2233032

i'm going t a friends later to make candy apples and watch scary films!! any suggestions for genuinely scary movies or ones with a great vibe or aesthetic and tone? i watched woman of the hour, i really liked the artistic vision and the way it captured the female horror experience, at first i feared another female exploitation and rape fantasy film, but it was directed by a woman and is an amazing portrayal of the horror as a woman to exist in a world with men. the vintage tv show parts also reminded me of late night with the devil, another film i really enjoyed the atmosphere and general aesthetic vibe of, even if the story didn't entirely fulfill expectations for me.

Have you ever had any paranormal experience on Halloween? It used to be a fantasy of mine as a teen but even when I made my own ouija board and used it in an abandoned place nothing really happened. I've never managed to lift the thin veil that separates our world from evil supernatural forces and invited them in. I've been interested in paganism and neopaganism for a decade but I've never done crazy shit.

I ran out of candy last year so this year I bought more but it's going to rain. I wonder how many kids are going to come now. Last night a black cat scared me in the alley near my house and it felt like a perfect Halloween scene kek

No. 2233438

I got some candies at school because I'm becoming friends with the primary school teachers, so that's really nice kek, I can't believe the parents of the kids bought so much candy, all of the primary school teachers had HUGE boxes full of different types of candy, cookies and chocolates. I wish high school did something like that but all of my students are boring retards that only know tiktok dances and shit lyrics talking about fucking.
This weekend I have a party but I honestly don't have a costume! I don't know what to do tbh, I kind of wanted to dress like a sort of cupid but I don't know if I will have the time to buy the stuff since I wanted to do that tomorrow, because I had a meeting today but it got changed for tomorrow…

So I accidentally bought what people consider to be the worst Halloween candy. It seems to be only in Canada and called Molasses Kisses (molasses, brown sugar and vanilla). Got it cause it was one of the cheapest bags. It seems to be an acquired taste because the first one I had was kind of gross but the ones after taste better. I'm sorry kids but I guess shitty candy is part of the Halloween experience too.

I put out a bowl with candies, little crafts that I made, and some tiny little toys. I was cleaned out in 30 minutes! next year i'll definitely do more. I'm so happy the kids actually wanted the stuff I made though. warms my heart. they were so cute too.

there were so many old ladies who didn't get many kids this year. It made me so upset. (and yes, despite being at my big age I went trick or treating, it's just fucking fun. I get away with it anyways because I'm socially retarded enough to get the retard pass) I blame it on trunk or treat honestly, that's what the ladies were telling me about. It's so stupid and isolationist, why is everyone paranoid of their neighbors? I literally live in one of the safest counties in the united states so I know it's not ACTUALLY crime. It's also grossly car-centric, but that's too much of an autistic topic to get into. I feel so bad for the ladies, ugh.
