I think it's a huge turn off but it's also just hair. I wouldn't be attracted to a guy who had long hair over a guy with short hair, but if I were already dating a guy and he grew his hair out I wouldn't stop dating him just because his hair wasn't my taste.

I dated someone who went from short to long hair. And I wouldn't have minded except

1) he never washed it
2) never styled it
3) never got trims or otherwise took care of it

It quickly became a greasy disgusting mess and we started fighting over it constantly. His excuse was that he was a guy so why should he wash it, he never had to wash it so much when it was short, etc. Eventually we broke up (not over the hair but the lack of hygiene was part of it as it was repulsive) and in a desperate bid to win me back he cut it all off lol.

But if a guy actually washed and took care of it and didn't wear a greasy pony tail like Josh from the raven thread, I wouldn't mind.

I'm dating a guy with hair longer than mine (to the middle of his back.) It's so thick and gorgeous, I'm jelly tbh. But I do love when he wants me to braid it in any of the cool styles that I know. The worst part is that he never just leaves it down. It's always in a bun, braid, or something. He says he hates it touching his face or neck. Like??? Long hair is a guaranteed way to get my attention instantly, I love it. Obviously it's not enough on it's own, but it makes a huge difference for me. I'm actually mad that chances are I will never find a guy with beautiful hair, damn it.

I adore long hair on guys, my fiance has long hair and I am so in love with how it looks. I have always been into man buns since before they were a meme and into guys with long hair who weren't essentially greasy emos or metalheads. I also love dreads on guys. I'm pretty much mostly into manly guys with long and dark hair, khal drogo is the man of my wet dreams, but pic related is great too. I also like the Dave grohl look. Long hair is great.

My boyfriend is the first guy ive dated with long hair.I like it. Hes clean and showers often. He also always keeps it in a bun or ponytail and rarely lets it down. I've tried to get him to wear it down but he doesnt like it . Recently i convinced him to trim his split ends. I also want to convince him into using a leave in conditioner and taking better care of his gorgeous hair. He says he wants it longer too and i encourage it.Hes a metalhead so it goes with his style.
