If you are a Millennial, say something positive about Gen Z

If you are Gen Z, say something positive about Millennials.

If you are Gen X or older, pick a generation and say something positive about them.

If you are Gen Alpha, you are not allowed to post on lolcow.farm.

No. 2095502

I like how Gen Z bucks previous fashion trends of everything being skintight and revealing, opting instead for oversized shirts and baggy pants. The skimpy stuff still exists, but there’s more options now.

Mellennial here, I want to say this about all the generations under me-you guys are coping with shit well in general. I thought things were bad in my day and we are still going through shit (like having to go back to live with our parents and how older generations fucked the system for all of us) many of you dont tolerate the shit we did (Was horrible being a teenage girl in the 2000's very messed up messaging aimed at us) dont listen to people, especially older creeps who say you are prudes we got this shit too when we were younger and dont lower you're standards for entitled old fugly moids I hope the best for all of us.

I agree with this nonna. Old creeps complaning how younger generations are "increasingly sex negative", "puriteens" etc tells me that youth is getting more aware of old perverts who want to use them. Go Zoomers, tell those old farts to fuck off!

So instead of generalizing whole generations in a negative way we will generalize whole generations in a positive way? Cringe.

As a millennial, I was called "weird" a lot growing up, and it was generally considered super awkward for a girl to make dark, surreal or self-deprecating jokes. So I just have to say I really appreciate Zoomers for embracing and normalizing absurd and dark humor, it feels refreshing

I'd say this sentiment has increased with the internet unfortunatly. If the 'hauk tuh' girl was instead a guy, it would've just been brushed off as a silly joke instead of being seen as an example of 'female stupidity', or how "western females are whores"

Even though Millennials can be cringe with their humor, I appreciate the nostalgia it gives me for the old “so randum XD!!!” days, and the Jenna Marbles style humor I loved so much in middle school. Um, yes it was? Gen Z isn’t gen alpha, we went outside and played with friends. Our childhoods were relatively normal just like millennials, we would even watch many of the things millennials even grew up on which is why a lot of millennials know high school musical, kim possible, etc.

This is why I want to connect with zoomers as a millennial tbh. We are literally the only two generations who had time without smartphones/tablets/constant tech for our entire lives. I know some zoomers are closer to gen alpha, and I personally had a few years of my life without a computer in the house at all, but we are the most similar in this way and someday when we’re all at the nursing home we’re going to be reminiscing on life before tech completely took humans over.

Gen Z is at that slightly precarious time where some of them are going to reach their late 20s soon and get negged by older scrotes about the “wall” and pitted against Millennial women.
I hope we can support eachother — millennials should look out for and protect zoomer girls and zoomer girls should defend (befriend?) millennial women from being reframed as the “enemy” by men

I’m not exactly sure how to explain what I’m saying, but I know that our two generations are close enough together to be experiencing a lot of the same bullshit and in the long run we’re going to have a lot in common. We should try to be on each others team, not be divided.

(Plus both generations have plenty of “cringe” so we might as well just roll with that)

I (younger Millennial) was talking to my mother (older Gen X) a few days ago about politics and even though she's kind of a stereotypical liberal/centrist, it reminded me that 25-30 is not old because she casually mentioned remembering the segregation era since it ended when she was growing up. Even if it's anecdotal, hearing about these things from someone who lived it is so much different than reading about it. As a zoomer, I have always admired millennial women, and lately have been feeling greatful for them. The Me Too movement was becoming mainstream when I was a child and with the widespread news and social media posts, I learnt very quickly what was supposed to be normal behavior and what was predatory. I was able to protect myself from an earlier age because of millennial feminists before me, and I have them to thank for it.

I hate zoomers because they think they understand everything because they have the internet. I’m a millennial and I know having internet access only helped break me. It feels pointless to have genuine concern for people who want to call you old and dismiss your opinions and meanwhile want to wear the jeans you wore in middle school and pretend to be informed. I never hated x-ers. I only relatively recently started hating boomers. I just want gen z to fucking listen when people are screaming and waving red flags. I didn’t have automatic disrespect for older people when I was younger so they seem so hostile and weird to me. But I guess I like that they normalized baggy pants for the moment. Obviously there are the bad parents who do the iPad baby stuff too but I often see millennials advocating for meeting children's emotional needs, protesting physical discipline, treating daughters in particular respectfully, etc. Stuff like apologizing to your kid if you messed up or teaching them that nobody is allowed to touch them in ways that make them uncomfortable. Sometimes some people can get very hypercorrective and kinda act as if you need to be a perfect saint to even consider having a child but I recognize that it comes from a place of really wanting the best for children.
