People there are obsessed with karma. Anyway. Share your reddit experiences here !

/r/femalefashionadvice is my favorite place to cheer me up when I'm a bit down, the WAYWT threads are a goldmine of cringe. One of my best laugh was when a girl posted the most mundane outfits ever calling herself the lovechild of Iggy Pop and Audrey Hepburn.

No. 199042

>>Anyone checked out stupidslutsclub?

It's basically what it sounds like, including these users going to malls and having old men bang them in dressing rooms. One girl went on about how her tits were hanging in a toilet with nipples touching the water while a random guy came inside her. I'd like to believe it's all fake, but many of the photos prove that to say the least, the stories probably aren't swaying far from the truth. It's def entertaining to read tho

I should clarify that the toilet thing apparently happened in a public restroom, and the girl proudly stated that eventually her face was being pressed against the bathroom floor…it's def a goldmine

anyone here browses BeautyGuruChat/ter? its for discussing youtube makeup channels. back in the day it was great, it was filled with drama and you could criticize gurus and their content freely. it wasn't like those old ladies in gurugossiper and what not, BGC just called out shit and wasn't creepy about it. ever since it got replaced by beautyguruchatter its gone to shit. that place is BORING. drama channels are frowned upon, talking shit about gurus is frowned up, basically not kissing ass will get your comment removed instantly. nothing ever happens there anymore. even the circlejerk threads about jeffree star aren't as fun when you can't make fun of him or his appearance without getting deleted. they take insults/jokes sooooooo seriously now. mods there are 0 fun.

back in the day it was great because it was a place to hatewatch annoying people like Jaclyn Hill and what not, call out cows like ThriftThick, etc. Once in a while share a new youtuber that didn't suck or a helpful video. Now threads are things like "Jaclyn Hill bought a new house. Congrats!", "Jackie Aina does another sponsored video! Nice! I love POC!!!", "Kathleenlights releases another uncreative low effort video! Please comment about your anxiety!". its all the same shit. threads get deleted, comments get deleted, etc. not enough activity. mods are big babies, etc.

I tried to get into reddit but I just couldn't adjust to the system, it's so lame. As other anon pointed out, some reddits require a certain karma to post or do things… And you can obtain that by posting new threads and people upvoting it.
Thing is, anything involving upvoting and ESPECIALLY downvoting turns to autism pretty fast: spergs who simply disagree with you will downvote you, and bam, 0 karma again.
They could at least calculate karma as in posts/comments made

Pretty much. Around where I live there are frequent train suicides and they get posted as an update on the "reddit city board". … of course the ones saying how sorry they are, how it's sad whatever gets the most upvotes, god for bid someone complains/mentions that they missed a fucking plane because of it(someone did and they got downvoted), or just expresses annoyance at them. It's so frequent that I'm sick of that shit and have no sympathy anymore. I think those fuckheads that downvote are the people who aren't even on the trains and dont have anything important to do.

And the thing that annoys me is… I'll bet they're not even religious but are being so polite to a dead dude??

No. 199148

>>199143
well, you can be nonreligious and have respect for someone who is dead and feel sympathy for the dead one's family lol. you're not morally incapable if you're not religous.

i do agree that reddit is soft and getting mad at someone for being pissed about train delay is retarded. people have places to be, and the person who kills themself knows that, so it's a dick way to commit suicide. ive seen people bitch about trains being delayed because of suicides on other sites before without getting backlash so reddit does have a serious issue.

I posted in the vent thread before I saw this one but yeah, I (finally) got banned from the garbage relationships subreddit because I said that a 9 year old girl shouldn't be watching violent, hardcore porn. People were genuinely saying I was "kink shaming" and then the mods banned me because my comment (that just said the parents should use a parental control on the computer and it's inappropriate for a child to be watching violent porn) for "Not being appropriate for this sub".

Why do you guys think there's so many pedos and pedo defenders on Reddit? Is it because the website is predominantly male? Is it just because the admins and mods don't care?

Kinkshaming is a very old concept that arose in response to proto-SJW and SJW spazzing out because someone likes something sexually that they don't. It's things like going to FurAffinity and bitching about furries, or going into a fic with a non-con warning and bitching because "OMG RAPE", or activly trying to ban BDSM porn.

It's been corrupted recently, also mostly by SJW who also happen to have a "problematic" fetish or are sex-obsessed trannys, to mean you can be a disgusting sex pervert in public and anyone who has a problem with that is bad.

In terms of drama/lolcow sites, although it has some tie over with lolcow farms, then Kiwi Farms, due to the really weird and salty community and culture, the owner of the board, and the over focus on unconventional politics in the last year (basically went from a politically neutral lolcow site, to an alt-right site.)

That being said, the forum format does and has worked well for following lolcows, but the atmosphere of the community, and the discussion and quality of the threads can often be high quality, but due to the culture there and the tendency for members to get overly angry/offended at lolcows, I find that the commentary that the members provide can often be highly misconstrued or exaggerated to meet either personal or political bias.

Basically, the very odd and overly aggressive culture and the change in focus towards politics which are viewed as extreme by most of the population is the main reason for including Kiwi Farms.

i would say the worst thing about reddit is the political seepage. i just want to discuss my hobby without having to scroll through fifteen pages of "KEK PEPE.JPG CUCKED BY TEH DONDALDD XDDDD". reddit is probably the most popular and accessible forum for communities, but it really is an alt-right boy's playground most of the time, especially in the larger and default subs.

for a while, i almost exclusively browsed lolcow– maybe 2 years back? i enjoy lolcow's culture, but with the exception of very few threads in /pt/ and /snow/, the site has been moving pretty slowly as of late. i think board culture fosters more diverse discussion, but it oftentimes means a lot of bickering and shitposting as well. i think the nature of subreddit-type communities leads to a hivemind/echochamber setting, which can be annoying too.

there's perks to anonymity and psuedoanonymity as well. i enjoy posting anonymously on *chans, but i love seeing posters on reddit get called out for bullshit when they spout one type of idiocy in one thread and and another in a different thread.

when it comes down to it, most people use both to varying extents, so… ~le truth is the middle~ or whatever when it comes to this i guess

Anti Trump boards are full of paid posters to AstroTurf, go to the profile of some of the users and you'll find that they only exclusively post anti Trump things, similar to the usersof r/hapas, most are sock puppets.
