Starting to realise this and really get into fitness. Trying to get formatted rather than just using it as a tool to lose weight alone.

Not to be a cunt but you girls know you can't spot-train right? Sage for possible cuntiness

No. 190530

>>190524
U wot m8. You can spot train but not spot reduce. Spot training = isolation, very common to fix asymmetries and imblances.

Question for everyone in this thread: How many pushups can you do?

I could do a bit over 30 at one point but right now I can only get up to 25 on a good day.

No. 190548

>>190546
I used to only be able to do 10 knee ups but I've gained enough muscle in my arms that I can doe 15 proper push ups but it made me realise I've got no core strength so I've gotta add that to my routine so I can do more kek

thanks for offering to answer questions!
are there any resources you can recommend for absolute beginners (esp. if your starting body fat and weight is astronomical)?
i want to start lifting as part of weight loss, but i don't have the courage or knowledge.

Yee I come to check in regularly. The classical liam rosen is great still.
http://liamrosen.com/fitness.html
https://www.iifym.com/tdee-calculator/

I would start with reading up on the diet section on how calories work. Also, I would start with walking/ swimming, since swimming is very very gentle on the joints. Definetly start lifting, a fullbody workout just for general fitness. Something like Starting Strength is great, focus on form and technique. You will make gains even on a calorie deficit for the first few months. You can develop form by watching youtube videos.
http://startingstrength.com/get-started/programs

If you categorise in morbid obesity, machine workouts would be the best. Weight limits bodymovements range, so a machine allows to stay within bounds outside of snapcity.

If there's anything more, I'm glad to be of help.
