In morning Musume in tthe mid 2000s it happened quite a bit because the girls were getting to late teens and rebelling.

As for AKB the least popular girls get booted after a scandal and either become porn stars or one of the regular population. If a super famous one has it, the company barely does anything. Most of the AKB girls have boyfriends and shit.
