Hello farmers

I want to start a thread on either these style of online made fashion spreads or ones of your own clothes spread out on a bed or something. You can post pictures of styles you like, explain what you look for/inspo, and maybe even where you have gotten certain pieces. I will post some of my favorite fashion pieces/average outfits later.

Can someone help me come up with a similar/cheaper outfit to this one gigi wore? Not exact, but like a similar top. I can't find it anywhere. I did find similar shoes though.

Guys, can anyone help me with my personal style + body type?

I know my colouring (warm autumn, usually wear soft powdery colours like tans, tea rose and beige along with lots of grey and charcoal to keep it all from looking too frou-frou), and style ('older' twee, I would call it). I've been building this wardrobe for so long but I still don't know how to dress for shit because nothing fits like it should. Even with tailoring, I legit don't know my body type so my thighs either look like stuffed sausages in skinny jeans, or my trousers start to slip down, or the outline of my underwear is showing and I always look shit.

I've tried asking for advice online a billion times but it's usually a massive hugbox that 'doesn't believe in body types, wear what you want' (reddit FFA comes to mind).

My measurements are 83-65-83 in cm, I'm 163cm tall. https://pinterest.com/gggx/coords/ That's my fashion pinterest (under a fake name). Anyone have any advice on how to dress for my body shape?

My personal fashion is shit. I work as a cleaner, so i can't wear anything pretty and i only dress up on special occasions. Daily wear consists of jeans, mens hoodies and stupid nerd t-shirts. Inspiration comes from whatever's clean or lies on the foot end of the bed. I complete this extravagant outfit with bad posture, pimples (from working a shitty job), terrible eyesight and the smell of cheap tobacco. The most luxurious thing i own is a pair of old Dr. Martens. Enjoy.

From what I'm reading, it sounds like you're pear-shaped, but your measurements make it sound like you're an hourglass.
Have you tried A-line skirts? They're a blessing.

Mine is meh I guess, this is pretty close to an actual outfit I have. I really like pairing oversized, comfy tops with shorts since I have a cursed apple body. Nice legs but more tummy than I'd like.

Have you tried going to a ~nice~ boutique that carries small sizes primarily and having a shopping attendant/knowledgable shop person help you with pants? Most of your problems seem to be focused around pants, which are a bitch for most everyone. That's why you see a lot of girls just opt out and wear spandex. Since you are small with a waist, you could try vintage thrift shops. Sometimes those have tailors in the store if you live in a bigger city. You only really need a couple of pairs of nice pants, and shorts if you wear those. I would recommend looking for cropped skinny jeans and wide leg pants. http://store.americanapparel.net/en/chicago-pant_rsapo3126?c=Black These are nice. You might not be trying the right cut for you! Try pleated too, that extra textual detail can add a lot, and plus it hides underwear lines. Try getting quality underwear to wear under skinny pants. I have had similar problems to you. Do you have long legs, a long torso, or are you pretty proportionate?

http://lbvintage.storenvy.com I've seen similar ones here and this woman is reliable imo. What is your size/measurements? There are several etsys and eBay vendors that would have what you want depending on price range. :) i like this thread btw

Same. I hate my apple body. I've been trying to get rid of my pouch for the summer.

Thanks for the help anon, that's some really useful advice. I'm getting a pair of no-VPL pants from Marks&Sparks soon, they're super cheap and really good according to my friend.

Since my wardrobe is more or less complete (despite being awful), I've been thinking of having a peek at some higher-end shops with tailoring services. Are there even any in Europe? From what I've been told in the States even Tommy Hilfiger has tailoring, but it's very rare here unless you go to Arnotts or some other posh department store (where the selection is awful, quite frankly).
