Public desire is a UK website that sells relatively "cheap" shoes (for trendy styles, IMO they are still not cheap but yeah).

What do you think of them? Which styles do you like on the website? have you purchased any? are there other "trendy cheap" sites you use?

Personally I don't because you get what you pay for. I'm super invested in maufacturing as well and research companies I buy from.

I would pay more for a more classic look and great quality because you will have a shoe that will last season to season and not look dated and cheap.

Honestly, I agree with you but I go 50/50 with my shoe wardrobe. I will buy some quality pieces from nicer brands and also look for "cheap" pieces that look nice. For example, I bought some "suede" coral heels from forever21 3 years ago and they still look great (i'll post a pic later, and they were only 20 bucks). What brands do you like?

I ruin shoes. I don't know how I do it, but if I wear it 3x a week, within 6 months it is ugly and beyond repair. The only shoes that haven't completely fallen apart were a pair of cheap Payless boots, and I'm convinced it's because all the material in it secretly has a lot of plastic. I never spend more than $50 on shoes anymore, I just can't justify it. I've also broken several heels off of shoes just walking in the office so stilettos are a no-go.

I like them but most look like strip wear atm and prefer asos

You can find PD shoes on ebay half the price tbf

I buy cheap "statement" shoes and invest in the real thing for more wearable stuff (leather flats, heels or booties I can wear to work, etc).

I like gojane, but it can be overpriced for what it is unless you buy on clearance. They don't sell straight up dupes, but they're obviously "inspired by" whatever the trendy it shoe of the month is. I got a pair of cutout booties (that were supposed to look like the balenciaga ceintures) for like $30 and was pretty satisfied with them. I'm sure they'll fall apart eventually and that's fine with me.

I just ordered a pair of shoes from yesstyle, no idea how that's going to work out.
