I just find the whole idea of a guy proposing to his girlfriend for marriage is bullshit. When I find my true love that I want to be with for the rest of my life, I want to propose to him and put the ring on his finger instead. I wished there were more women who did this.

I think making the proposal into a big thing is really cute, but impractical.

If you're trying to make long-term plans with your S/O, it makes more sense to discuss it beforehand.

Agree 100%. Just look up the origins of marriage customs, it's repulsive. I'm baffled that the whole carrying across the doorstep thing is still practiced. Apparently it comes from abducting the bride and is pretty much meant to not let the bride seem to eager for sex.
